Excellent location and just beautiful and tranquil. My room was very comfortable and I didn’t need air-conditioning. Excellent place to learn kite boarding and with their excellent help I was able to get up and ride across the bay for the first time. Food is excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. I personally Rented a small SUV from the airport and drove out which gave me more autonomy but you couldn’t go wrong with just getting a ride out and staying your entire trip there. Several other restaurants within walking distance. Chris and staff do everything to make your stay beautiful memorable and comfortable.

Beautiful stay right on the ocean! Our room was epic and the food and drinks hit the spot. One of my favorite things was all the shade at the beach making it possible to have a great time while not getting scorched. Would be nice if the beach comber put the seaweed somewhere besides right into the ocean. But overall beautiful stay.

Great place for relaxing! The whole beach for yourself! The Palm room is right on the beach and you can look at the ocean from bed. Really incredible! The beach is super clean but the ocean has some algae (feb). You can walk ~10 min to a super pristine spot with basically no people.

Camp Bay Lodge was beautiful and calm with fresh food and delicious drinks. A wonderful oasis! I'm so glad we found it.

Even though kite boarding lessons
didn't turn out (wind blowing in the wrong direction), we had a lovely day relaxing on the beach snacking on veggie fare. They have meat options too.

The lodge is a great secluded stay in Roatan. The road can be challenging but we had a little rental car and quickly adapted to the driving.

The little restaurant serves great food and drinks! The prices are reasonable. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful. You can work with the staff to arrange tours and trips. Be sure to tip the staff for the great work they do!

Keep in mind that the lodge is about an hour from the airport. But it is worth the drive!

The rooms were great and we didn’t even need air conditioning. Super relaxing stay. We will be back!

We had an amazing stay at the Lodge. It is located in such a beautiful location in Camp Bay! Yummy food and comfortable rooms.

Highlight of our trip was trying kitesurfing for the first time! Chris was really accommodating and made sure we were able to accomplish our goals. And shout out to Junior for being an amazing instructor! He was thorough and detailed in his instruction and always stressed safety. I learned way more and progressed much further than I was expecting. Definitely would return to kite again.

Beautiful place! Such a virgin side of the island, calm and peaceful. Nice restaurant with few fish dish options! Perfect place to spend the day

The food is to die for. Rachel and her team are so nice! They made sure that I ate safely, considering my many food allergies.

Thank you! 🤩🏝🧘🏻‍♀🍹

We loved our stay at Camp Bay and can't wait to go back.

One piece of advice though: it's in a very rural/remote area. So if you're planning a trip don't count on being able to easily buy more sunscreen or something.

(Don't be fooled by the nominally short distance (~25mi) to the airport. Speed limits are low, and it takes every bit of an hour to get up there (1.5h from West End).)

Amazing experience! Located on the more remote less trafficked east end of the island. Positioned perfectly on the beach, but still surrounded by nature. Wonderful family owned establishment with kitesurfing on premises. Scuba a short walk down the beach and fantastic bar/restaurant.

We had an amazing time at Camp Bay Lodge, especially while Kite Surfing!

The location is far off but definitely worth the drive. Beach and hotel / restaurant are beautiful and clean. The kitchen offers great food and the staff is very friendly and lovely!

Chris and his team really know what they do when explaining and teaching kite surfing and make it an incredible experience. I (beginner) felt very safe and supported at all times and the guys took time and made an effort to explain everything. The equipment seems to be new and well taken care of.

This was definitely a highlight of my trip! Also for anyone who is not into Kite Surfing, I can recommend to check out this place and enjoy the calm atmosphere and good food - and especially Chris' hospitality, who everyday makes an effort to welcome his guests individually and chat! :)

Thanks a lot for everything and hope to see you again very soon!

My husband, toddler, and I had the most lovely time at Camp Bay Lodge. We stayed in the Garden Loft for a week and it fit our needs perfectly. The staff and all so kind and helpful, the food is very good, and the cocktails are delicious. The owners, Marilou and Chris, are lovely people too.

We came to CBL at the recommendation of some close friends who visited before COVID. They remembered that it was a family friendly place to stay and now that we have young children, finding such a place can be challenging. Our kiddos loved the beach, swimming in the waves, and playing with the other children staying at the lodge with us.

Our trip was planned around diving with Dive Pangea, just a short 2 minute walk down the beach. It was so great to not have to worry about driving anywhere if we didn’t want to. With that said, we organized an airport pickup and drop off with Chris that made getting to and from the lodge much easier.
The staff also arranged a ride for us to a little restaurant, La Champa, on the east side of the island.

I’m usually home sick and ready to go home after a long vacation, but we were all sad leaving the lodge and people that made us feel so welcome.

We cannot wait to go back!

Camp Bay is a beautiful hidden gem. Its tucked away far from the hussle and bussle of the west end. If you are looking to disconnect and enjoy some quiet, it is very much worth the drive.

The Lodge was clean and simply but nicely decorated. The rooms have fans and louvered windows so you can take advantage of that nice wind coming off the ocean in the evenings.

The restaurant and bar have so much to enjoy. My partner and I are vegan and had no trouble. Plenty of vegetarian/vegan options and they will make a vegan breakfast as part of your stay each day. The food and drinks are priced fairly. Drinks are delicious and strong! ;)

All the staff are amazing and so kind. My partner and I were genuinely sad to leave.

I highly recommend getting a boat tour over to Port Royal through the mangrove forest. There are some really great snorkle spots there. If you like hiking, ask for a guided tour up the ridge from Larry. You will see an incredible view from the top of the entire island and Larry will treat you with stories and history the whole way along.

We really enjoyed our stay. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and really truly relax... welp this is the place. You get a jungle and beach type experience at the same time. The food is good and the ladies at the resteraunt are amazing. Chris, the host is extremely personal and ensures everyone is ok. Love our time here... just cut to short.

Comfortable, relax, natural, delicious and professional. That’s what we enjoyed at the Camp bay Lodge for two weeks in April 2022 with are two kids (4&2 years old).

The food is fresh, local and tasty (thanks Miss Rachelle). Hot fresh coffee served every morning at 6:45. Breakfasts are cooked and served when you ask. We made are own lunches in are cabana and enjoyed the dinner menu of the lodge…especially the ceviches, fish and the gazpacho.

The rooms are cozy and confortable. We had the Sunset Cabana which has a big balcony with a view on the water and the trees. We slept like babies!!

The beach is 20 feet from are room and is cleaned everything by Pedro. We appreciated the great big peer to enjoy the sunset every night with a drink. Bring your camera ;)

The wind was front and center for 12 days out of the 14. The kite school has good equipment and the instructors are top (thanks Vito, Jardel and Junior).

A special thanks to Chris and Marilou for their hospitality, the love and care that they bring to the lodge and their knowledge of the island.

We are already planning on going back next year.

A wonderful laid back retreat on the relaxed end of the island. We had a great one night stay here. The employees are very friendly, the food is great, the setting is ideal for relaxed and away from it all, and the rooms are airy, clean and comfortable.
Note some rooms have AC and others don’t. We asked to switch to one with AC and for an extra $20 it was totally worth it.
The lodge is literally 75 ft from the ocean. If you don’t like the sound of waves then maybe earplugs? But we definitely didn’t need them.

My friend and I stayed at Camp Bay Lodge over the new year period and had a fantastic time. The setting is incredibly quiet and peaceful allowing you to fully disconnect and relax but, at the same time, offers fun activities on site/next door including kitesurfing and diving for those looking for more adventure! The staff are immensely helpful and friendly and by the end of our stay felt more like family!
I would recommend packing sunscreen and insect repellent for your stay as the nearest town/supermarket is a bit of a way away.
