Naboo Resort & Dive Center

No complaints whatsoever with our stay here. Staff were friendly, competent, and discreet. The Hotel and restaurant are plenty nice. Naboo is very comfortable and user friendly - rooms are spacious and clean with all amenities for a comfortable vacation. Only minor complaint is the road/path in front of the hotel that's a short stroll to the beach but that has nothing to do with the hotel itself. For our needs (we went scuba diving most days) it was perfect and the Dive Center that's part of the hotel is outstanding (thank you Russell, Elise, Chip, Willard, and Ryan!).

We stayed at Naboo resort for 5 days for a dive trip we planned and I couldn’t have been happier with the layout of our experience! Although the resort is not water front, it’s tucked right down the alley from the beach and in a quieter location which turned out to be fantastic as the beach area gets pretty busy. The pool and dining area is a great touch too.

In regards to diving, their dive shop is one of the best I have seen at a dive resort yet! Serena was very attentive and present to answer any questions as well as get us prepared for our daily dives. The shop has a nice dunk tank for gear, dry racks and storage room for you to keep your gear in between dives. There is a professional white board with groups for diving, boats and dive sites daily to help keep you oriented. The boats leave directly from the beach which is a short walk away from the hotel. The crew is very professional and will setup all of your tanks and gear, you are only responsible for mask and fins! There are options for morning, afternoon and night diving which you can sign up for easily. We LOVED our dive instructors Elise, Coco and David! They were so knowledgeable about the reef life and really ensured we got the most out of our dives with max bottom depths of 60+ minutes which is almost unheard of with other day dive companies in my experience! Everyone really cares about the health of the reef and marine environment. Thank you for an unforgettable experience! We highly recommend Naboo and their diving!

Dive here! We didn't stay at Naboo but chose to use their dive shop based on a recommendation. So glad we did!
We did two boat dives and rented all of our gear from the shop. Super efficient rental process and high quality equipment. We dove with Chip and Elise as guides and both are phenomenal at what they do... We will definitely be back and want to stay at the resort next time too!

Stayed for 10 days in April and would definitely return. Great location. Short walk to the gorgeous beach, but unfortunately no beach chair access. We learned to go after 2 then grab a drink at another resorts beach bar and you’d be able to use their chairs for free. Very easy to grab a water taxi to West End too.

Room was clean and modern. Plenty of space and the balcony was large with a nice fan. Loved the walk in shower, but pressure was a little lacking as are most resorts. Never a problem having hot water though. Only complaint was 1 room key. Without the key, no lights or AC which could get annoying when one of us wanted to stay in the room while the other went somewhere else. I get they are trying to conserve energy so it is what it is. Beware there are no elevators! You will get your workout if you’re on the 3rd floor.

Pool and hot tub were very enjoyable. Both cleaned every morning. Always in working order.

Restaurant was also great. We opted for the full meal plan and had at least 2 meals a day. We did venture off property for lunch or dinner a few times. The staff was top notch! I wish I’d of wrote this sooner when I could remember everyone’s names but everyone was fantastic as was the food. I don’t think there was a meal I didn’t like. Ceviche and plantain chips are a must try.

I loved the on site dive shop. Serena, David and the boat captains took such great care of us. Can’t recommend them enough.

My partner and I stayed at Naboo primarily to scuba dive, but also enjoy the beach and surrounding area. The initial impression of the hotel on arrival was that it was immaculately maintained and beautiful. The open air restaurant was fantastic. We spent each morning at their fantastic breakfast buffet and some lunches and dinners as well. The staff in the restaurant were always amazing and took the time to learn our names and make us feel welcome and taken care of whenever we were there. The pool and hot tub were beautiful and clean, with ample seating to relax in our down time. The room was very clean, inviting, and quiet, which allowed us to be refreshed for the next days activities all week during our stay.

This was my first diving experience since gaining my open water certification, and let me say, I think Naboo has started my diving journey off on the best possible foot. Serena, the manager of the dive shop, is amazing. She made us feel welcome from the very beginning. The small touches, such as letting us look at books on marine life after our dives to try and identify what we’d seen, to their whiteboard detailing dive sites we’d visited and would be visiting that week, really made this experience seamless and stress free. Additionally, the dive shop was beautiful. They have nice dip stations to rinse off gear, and areas to leave gear to dry for the next day. Not to mention having everything ready on the boats in the morning (bcd, reg, tanks) was a nice perk. All we had to do was suit up and carry our masks and fins to the boat, 2 minutes down the alley to the beach, each morning and we were off. Our dive masters David, Elise, and Coco, were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming. They really made it a priority to maximize time in the water and to give the best experience possible with the 7 dives that we were a part of with them. You could clearly see their passion for diving and care for their customers on every single dive. They were a vast source of knowledge in identifying creatures underwater and went above and beyond.

Overall, this resort has it all, for someone like myself just starting out diving, to a seasoned diver looking to have an extremely rewarding dive trip, I couldn’t recommend Naboo enough.

Location is great, right next to infinity bay for water taxis and snorkeling. Parking on site if you have a car. Phenomenal breakfast is included. Great dive experience and the staff was over the top friendly. Clean, bright rooms with blackout curtains was wonderful for sleeping. Clean pool. Overall fantastic experience!

Resort and rooms are new, clean and contemporary/modern. Wish they provided a microwave to reheat food. A little fridge to store items is in room. Breakfast was really good, lots of choices. Fresh yummy juice. Welcome drink was a nice touch. Dinner was decent. Only lost power once in the week we were there (that we know of) but lasted only a few seconds. The only thing I didn’t like was not being able to flush toilet paper (but a lot of the island is the same way), have a little trash can for that…not a fun idea for #2’s. The staff were very nice and respectful though. Very close to the beach and a lot of food options within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at Naboo! The dive shop manager, Serena and the dive instructors, CoCo, Devid & Elise were all very knowledgeable, professional and made all of our dives fun and enjoyable. The 2 boat captains were very helpful on the boat as well. The owner of Naboo, Adriana was very friendly and chatted with us a few times making sure our stay was going well. The restaurant staff is very attentive. We loved our server we had every morning, Ariany- always smiling and very friendly. The restaurant is open to the pool with a nice breeze. The food was outstanding! Our shuttle driver, Jorge very polite and professional. The pool is relaxing and quiet and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is very clean and well cared for. The location is a 1 minute walk to the beach, water taxies and to the best snorkling we have been to so far that is right off the beach. We highly recommend Naboo for anyone wanting to dive, snorkle or just relax!!

The hotel itself was perfect for us; cool, clean rooms, with a nice view on the balcony and impeccable service at the front desk and the restaurant. But the true reason for the 5 stars is the attached dive shop, with whom I dived around 8 times over the course of a week. Coming in to the shop for the first time, they knew my name, knew what I’d explained I wanted to do previously over email, and overall, the dive masters were extremely helpful and courteous. Each dive, I had nothing to worry about except showing up, as they prepared everything else for me. The dives themselves were excellent, and I would be extremely happy to come here again. Thank you for a memorable week.

I am going to write the kind of review I was looking for when selecting a resort.
Let me start by saying that 5 isn't a high enough rating for this resort - it was OUTSTANDING!!

Arrival: we arrived at the airport and arranged for transportation with the resort. Our driver was ready and waiting and took us the 20-25 minutes to the resort. The roads are terrifying!! But keep your eyes open as you can see a lot of the local culture as you pass through.

Rooms: The rooms are very clean and bright. They were cleaned every day before noon (that was awesome!). They come equipped with full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion (that would have saved me a lot of liquids in my luggage). There is a large comfortable balcony with a ceiling fan and a clothing drying rack. The showers are huge and have great water pressure. The air conditioner only works when you are in the room (a bit of a shock when we first arrived, but we found it cooled quite quickly and soon appreciated the eco-friendliness of this option).

Food: There are more restaurants withing walking distance than you could ever eat in with a 1-2 week visit (we wanted to try a lot of the local cuisine). By walking, I mean within seconds to minutes. The restaurant at Naboo was a favourite for sure. Breakfast is included and each day had a delicious buffet breakfast (which was perfect as we wanted to eat before diving). Lots of options and we never went away hungry. It is also the only place we ate at TWICE for dinner because it was so good. Lots of local and international options with top notch service. The tables are pool side which was also a really nice touch.

Property: The distance from the resort to the beach is literally about 2 minutes walk (we couldn't figure it out before even by looking on Google Earth). And we actually appreciated the short distance from the beach as it meant fewer sand flies (they are ferocious on the sand!!!). A quick note on the flies - OFF did not work...we ended up having to buy some local spray that seemed to do the trick. We purchased it at the pharmacy about 30 seconds away from Naboo.
The pool is perfect - lots of space with a bench around two sides. The hot tub melted all our worries away. We never had to wait or get up early for a pool chair, and there were lots of umbrellas to provide shade for those that need it. The landscaping is gorgeous and there are always several hummingbirds milling about. The staff are always cleaning and attentive to anything you need.
Finally, we specifically chose this resort for the peace and quiet (adults only) and did it ever deliver. It was beyond our expectations and truly provided an oasis.
In addition, we did the 1/2 day tour offered by the resort. This was well worth it, with the monkey and sloth park being our favourite stop by far!!

Diving: This was our whole reason for choosing Roatan and this resort as they have a dive centre on site. In 7 days, we did 12 morning dives and 1 night dive. The dive masters were all exceptional. Safety was always first and foremost and we were fortunate to dive with other advanced divers that allowed us to have dives no shorter than 60 minutes each. The dive masters pointed out exciting underwater life and ensured that all divers were having a great time. The boat captains were always ready and willing to lend a hand and provided great stops for our surface intervals. The dive shop manager could not have been better - no pressure for anything but always willing to work with us to ensure we got the trip we wanted.
We brought only our dive masks/snorkel with us and rented our gear from them for the rest of it. We would do that again for sure as it saved so much room in our luggage. However, if we were to return, we would want to bring: dive computer, flashlight (there are lots of nooks to look into and at 80 feet it can be hard to see).

Overall this vacation exceeded all our expectations, and Naboo could not have been better. Thank you for helping us celebrate 20 amazing years together - we can't wait to come back!!

Awesome, modern, clean rooms, and the hotel is in a great location to catch both boat and auto taxis. The drinks at the bar were consistently watered down, but not a big deal because the real reason we booked Naboo was the diving, and it was AMAZING! While the reef certainly lives up to all expectations, the entire staff at Naboo, especially the dive shop crew, already have us planning another trip to Roatan (...Naboo) in a few months. Everyone was so friendly and hospitable. In fact, they were such a great group of people that we ended up completing 10 dives with them. They are a credit to the diving community and an absolute treasure to the Naboo Dive Resort!

Great dive resort located close to numerous restaurants, beach and activities. Rooms are extremely clean and property well kept. Breakfast included is made to order, well prepared and tasty. Other meals at on site restaurant were also very good. Excellent on site dive shop. Dive masters gave thorough info and instructions. Equipment in good condition. Serena who runs the dive shop took very good care of us. She is also very involved in conservation of the reef. Thank you for everything!

My friend and I loved our stay here. The rooms were so clean and cute, and we loved our balcony! The staff truly went above and beyond, including when my friend lost her cellphone and the staff literally wandered around at night to try and help us find it. The included breakfast was so yummy, and any time we ate at the restaurant we received great service.
About the area: this is the calmer but not isolated area, so if you are looking for a super chill place that also has food options around, look no further. Not only is the hotel calm and quiet, the surrounding area is as well. So peaceful. You are not on the beach front but it is a minute away.
Useful tip: the hot tub isn't always turned on in the morning, so if you want to use it earlier in the day, turn it on ASAP to let it heat up.
About the Dive shop: The staff were super friendly (even helping us with questions outside of snorkeling) and my friend and I loved the snorkeling tour. We did the morning tour with the two locations. Our captain Luther went above and beyond in helping us have the best snorkeling time. Highly recommend.

Overall: I loved this place, would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay again.

I had a great experience! Staff was friendly, room was clean, property was well maintained and close to the plaza and beach. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a central location in West Bay.

If I could rate the dive shop more than 5 stars, I would.

High quality hotel with a great restaurant attached, but the real star of the show is the dive operation. They know of your arrival and quickly learn your name and get to know you, and make sure your time diving in Roatan is perfectly scheduled on a public board week by week.

They handle all loading and unloading of gear, change your tanks for you on the boat, provide vehicle transportation if your dive needs another water entry point, and ensure you are where you need to be safely and on-time.

The divemasters are all wonderful, extremely knowledgeable, and very much care about your safety, and are accommodating of all skill levels from master diver to your first dive to see if you like SCUBA.

They also partner with a couple other operations for things like shark diving, providing you with their gear if you decided to rent from Naboo and ensuring transportation to their dock.

I could go on and on, but I could not recommend Naboo and their dive operation enough and will definitely return to them when I come back to Roatan if this is their standard of service.

The friendliest staff we've ever encountered, the cleanliness of the property & the room and the attention to detail are just the tip of the iceberg for why Naboo is a must-stay.

We had stayed at Naboo for a week and on the last day, our flight home was cancelled. While we were at the airport, Naboo was in the background blocking off our room in case we didn't make it out. When the flight was ultimately cancelled and we made the call hoping they could take us back, they let us know our same room was sitting there with our name on it, and already had a driver at the airport to bring us back. People were struggling to find a room with so many cancellations and every single ounce of avoided stress was credited to the Naboo team.

We cannot say enough about the staff here. Omar was fantastic! He took such great care of us and greeted us like old friends. Bennie, Suleika, Adriana, Kennet and Yordany all helped to make this an amazing vacation!

The dive shop deserves it's own 5 stars: what a smooth operation. From day 1 when we e-mailed Serena asking her how to go about getting PADI certified, we were in great hands. We had all the information we needed and when we reached out with a question we got a quick reply, and when we showed up ready to go, our names were already in the schedule. Elise was our instructor at the beginning, and a true friend at the end. She is so patient, so understanding, caring and genuine, but also the most professional instructor. She made us feel comfortable from the second we talked to her, she got us over some hurdles and we left certified knowing if Elise hadn't been there, we might not have made it through. We're so happy she'll always be the first name in our log books. Coco, Davide, the Captains... Every single person in this dive shop is a true professional and a genuinely great human.

We will definitely be back soon!

Loved our time at Naboo! The dining staff was excellent—Omar & Eduardo made our Christmas meal exceptional and those two along with Kenneth, Benny & Anthony took great care of us. Hospitality was a standout quality all the way around. The diving center provided some of the best diving customer service we’ve ever had. Serena, the guides and even the boat drivers provide such a welcoming, fun but professional environment. The food, rooms, cleanliness, pool/hot tub and location were all great. Thank everybody for an awesome experience all the way around!

Just completed the open water portion of my PADI certification last week with two friends. Serena was immediately inviting and helpful in making it all come together for us! Thank you David for your instruction and enthusiasm while on our dives. We could not have done it without you! April M

I went diving with Naboo Resort Dive Center team and loved everything about it. The dive school is large and very comfortable, the equipments are new and well maintained, the boats are very safe and organized. The staff is super gentle and very experienced, not only the dive instructors and divemasters, but also the boat captain Wilfred. I highly recommend diving with them!

Our stay at Naboo Resort was the best, we enjoyed the breakfast every morning, the pool and jacuzzi. The lunch & dinner food was amazing. Our room was always left really clean and spotless with fresh towels every day. The Naboo staff made us feel so welcome and the dive staff was amazing as well. Thank you to all the servers, front desk, cleaning staff, and dive staff. When we return back to Roatan, Naboo will be our first choice!
