Campsite Biokovo; Camperstop

Really nice campsite located just near the A1 highway and a couple of kilometers from road 8.
When all other campsites were fully booked we came here.
And it was so nice we changed our plans and stayed for 5 nights.
Clean showers and restrooms.
All the amenities you can ask for.
At night you can sit and chat with the other guests.
Big shout-out to the volunteers Heikki and Jasmine who were the hosts during our stay.

Hi travelers, if you decide to stop here you might to discover a perfect camp site, well, it was perfect for me. Great hosts, beautiful mountain view, 15 minute car drive from the most beautiful beaches on makarska riviera, just next to highway... easy stop, easy go. An ideal place for spending a few days (I have spent a month), not surrounded by houses... just you, the mountain and the sunset. Small town of Zagvozd is near by for your shopping... even on foot. Hope you will like it as much I did. And just one thing more... I'll be back 😀

I would feel free to suggest the campsite Biokovo shuld add world unique in it's name.
Small family run camp with human touch. Well located, very close to the highway and nearby grocery shops. Campsite offering full comfort including us of kitchen, terrace, bicycles. Highly recommended.

The first thing you notice when you arrive at the camp is the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere.
The campsite has a very chilled and peaceful vibe even though they do welcome children and pets.
It's a very natural space set amongst the green hills and mountains. Close to village with local shops, cafes, restaurants and post office within a very short walk, about 10 minutes. The beach is only a 10 minute drive, through the mountain tunnel!
Quite uniquely the campsite offers a communal area and kitchen especially useful for those travelling with a small car, motorbike or bicycle. This space offers the chance to meet with other like-minded people and fellow travellers and we had many a good conversation and fun here.
All the utilities are provided here; very clean bathroom with showers, chemical waste and grey waste outlets. All the water which is drinkable the electric and all facilities are inclusive in a very reasonable price.
To top it all you are offered a complimentary drink on arrival, a wine or rakija, made by the owners father and you are also invited to pick fresh vegetables especially tomatoes from the gardens. Yum.
We cannot recommend more!

Great campsite. Sanitary facilities are very clean and well equipped. Even shampoo and showegell are provided. We visited with a large group and were given our own field, whish was amazing. Everything you need is present, a kitchen, outside showers to cool down, a washing machine and more. Nice chillspots with chairs and hammocks are free for everyone to use. Location provides easy access to the makarska riviera with great beaches and snorkelspots.

On the map it seems to be a spot just between two big roads, and yes it is - but you do not feel that when staying on the camping. It is a calm and peaceful place with a nice area to sit and eat or relax, nice owner and staff. There is a well equipped kitchen, clean facilities and a really nice area. Feels familiar and comfortable. You can hear the traffic on a distance, but it is not disturbing. It is gravel and not grass to put up your tent on, but the owner handed over iron tent sticks and a hammer so it was not a problem. I really recommend this place!

We stayed 6 nights and used the camp as a base to explore the area. We had a very nice time. The camp is not too big and there is a family atmosphere. Toilets and the kitchen area were very clean. The hosts were extremely friendly. We felt very comfortable. When we are there again we like to come to this campsite for a few nights.

I can't believe this place isn't booked out for the whole year, as it has perfect location - just off the highway, literally 10min to beautiful Adriatic beaches, and at the bottom of the mountain so there is always some breeze and its sooo nice in the evening.. and the camp itself is just a gem, everywhere you look you will find bits of love and effort that this family has put in to make it perfect ❤

Such a good campsite! Owners helped us immediately after our car broke down and had to go to the garage. They brought us to the garage and are ever so friendly. We loved our stay here! It is cozy and family like with everything you need. A kitchen you can use, washing machine, patio to sit and great company!

This campsite is a little gem! A warm welcome for everyone, including a welcoming glass of local wine, amazing range of facilities included; spotlessly clean kitchen, showers and camp site. Herbs and vegetables are free to pick from the garden, sit in a hammock and read quietly or join others for interesting chats and swapping information about great places to visit in the shaded communual area. Often people who were only going to stay one night stay on for another one or two. It is so close to beautful walks and beaches and the managers are always ready to help with useful information and tips about the local area

The 4 of us stayed there with our 7 meter camper in July 2021. Location was great, we did not hear the highway which we feared we could. The location is awesome but lacks shade to protect us from the burning Summer sun. We were fortunate to be received by 2 French guys (Olivier and Cecilia) who were doing their camp manager training. They were very professional, kind and had a true sense of social skills. With them, we felt like being with family.
In terms of amenities, the camp site offers nice showers (always clean, with lot of hot water), a real brick and mortar kitchen and outside tables. We could do our laundry in brand new washing machines. Honestly, I can't remember much besides the fact that we had a good time and a good Internet-Wifi connection!
One thing, the surroundings are breathtaking! Beautiful! make sure you visit the park and the skybridge on the other side of the rim.

I love this campsite, it is so lovely. It has this atmosphere that is hard to describe. Like home. There are so many details that are added with so so much love. Mirjana, the wonderful owner, and her parents run the place and make you feel welcome from the very first moment. There's a kitchen and living area, with everything you need, pots, pans, cutlery and so forth. The sanitary facilities are modern and clean. The emplacements are even, so you have no difficulties with putting up a tent. I honestly don't know what else to say. Perfect!

Biokovo Campsite now offers a Camperstop/Aire type service. Overnight parking within the campsite for €19 per camper per night, but pls don't use the showers/toilet/kitchen. Includes fresh water, grey water, black water disposal, not Inc electricity (that is €5). 4 pitches.

We came here the day before they opened. It was absolutely fantastic. Great facilities and location to the town while not being too close. Perfect walking distance. If you’re a tent camper my tip is to be careful of where the street lights are before you pitch because otherwise it will feel like day time all night.

We arrived very late in the evening (around 10pm) but the old owner was still sitting in his chair and welcomed us nicely. We got our pace for the tent and after setting it up we got a self made grape brandy from the owner.
We can’t complain about anything. The kitchen is very good equipped with a fridge, oven etc. and the bathrooms are ver clean with good showers.

I had a very nice experience at this camping. It has a very chilled atmosphere, the owners are very kind. They offered us some homemade rakija (local liquor) as a welcome gift. They have also a vegetable garden and also many flowers all around the place.
The campsite is surrounded by mountains, but at the same time is 10 minutes by car from the coast. The bathrooms are super clean. I highly recommend this campsite!

Lovely and peaceful place for camping with untouched nature and very hospitable owners.
It's ideal for hiking, trekking, exploring or just relaxing with you loved ones under the clear sky. They even let you eat the veggies from their own garden, or if you want, you can plant something yourself.
Overall an amazing experience.

It was a super nice and cozy place. Very small but basically has all you need for a very good price! The owner is super nice and even provides free shampoo; dry-blower; showergel etc in the bathroom as well as soap for the dishes! Amazing! what else do you need. The spot is located close to the highway and has an amazing view over the Biokovo. It also accommodates a common area where you can play games and enjoy the sunny weather under an umbrella.

GREAT! It's a nice little new campsite with a beautiful view to the hilly area around it. It has the best equipped and hottest hot showers during our journey through Croatia. The very friendly staff offered a delicious homemade raki welcome drink. No hot water for dish and clothes washing. 100 kuna / 14 euros for 2 people per day. It's a good location for stopover or exploring the area.
