Very interesting place to visit on your way into the main park. Most of the headstones were from the 1920’s and 1930’s. The entrance is just to the right of the restaurant and there is no entrance fee. It only takes a few minutes to walk around. There is only one entrance in and out.

A really interesting place .. not for all tourists .. a piece of Split history. I was intrigued by our walk there. A special place on Marjan .. very shady on a hot day.

Absolutely mysterious and unique place. The gate seems to be locked, but it is not. People walk around and no one comes inside. Enjoy the atmosphere.

The oldest Jewish cemetery in Croatia, one of the oldest in Europe and the world. It was founded in 1573 and was in use until 1945. It is a protected cultural monument of the Republic of Croatia. It would be good for the Jewish Community in Split, the City of Split and the Republic of Croatia to ensure that the cemetery does not look so disagreeable and neglected. And to be regularly open to the public.

Eary place to visit, because of all the broken and open graves and overgrown trees. Also a reminder of how we in europe need to protect our minorities.

Alter jüdischer Friedhof in Split.

It’s sad that noone takes care of this cemetery. It looks absolutely abandoned, even the plants dried out. Since it's a cultural monument the government should care to preserve it, i believe.

A temeto a Vidilica kavezo mogott huzodik a Marjan csucsa fele. Fallal van korulveve, a bejarata a kavezo epulete mellett a jobb oldalon talalhato. A sirok kozott regiek is vannak a 19. szazad elejerol. A sirok egy jo reszet megrongaltak, osszetortek.

The cemetery is the underlying Vidilica cafe Marjan highlight of the half. There is a wall surrounding the entrance to the cafe next to the buildings right away. The tombs across the regions are in the early 19th Century. A good portion of the tombs defaced, shattered.
