Church of St. Michael

The first church in this place was built in the 13th century. In 1708, it was mentioned as the church of St. Michael (sv. Mihovil) when it was consecrated. At that time it was surrounded by stećci. Over the years, the church fell into disrepair and in 1933 its reconstruction was started. It was demolished in the Second World War and its reconstruction was started once again. It was completely destroyed again in 1993 during the war. In the year 2000, the reconstruction begins again. The difficult and sad fate of this region, which in just 70 years saw 3 beginnings of restoration and construction of the church ... and demolition. The surrounding nature is beautiful, the view on all sides is breathtaking. I hope that this time generations will enjoy the beauty of this place.

Huge catholic church on a hill dedicated to St. Michael. Fantastic view on surroundings. The church was completely destroyed 3 times during 20th century, and was rebuild every time (last time completely after Croatian War of Independence or Homeland war)

Predivno mjesto

Crkva je stvarno prelijepa izvana, prostor oko crkve lijepo uređen, jedino mi je žao što nismo imali prilike ući unutra.

Crkva je predivna. Može li mi neko objasniti zašto je oltar okrenut prema istoku.
