Bistro Pizzeria Kapo

By far the best pizza and homemade pasta in the Adriatic. As the photos here say, I’m not sure you’re going to find a better pizza here outside of Naples. This is a family run restaurant with fantastic service. The cook everything from scratch, from their garden. This is a wonderful hidden gem, well worth the detour off the 8, near Dubrovnik.

Wow!! This restaurant is wonderful!! The owners make everything fresh from their garden just across the street. The salad, pizza, carbonara, pom frites, & drinks were so wonderful. This restaurant was so fun and delicious that we chose to come back the very next night.

The food alone is reason to come; however, Tanja, one of the owners, makes the experience exceptional! The owners are so kind. We really loved our experience. The best restaurant we went to in our trip to Croatia by far!

I'm a foodie who has visited over 50 different countries and I can honestly say this is one of the best places I've ever been. It consistently has an excellent menu and the warmest service. We stayed in the area for 2 months and visited twice a week and left blissful and full every time. Every dish we tried was exceptional and was made fresh by people who obviously love food and who genuinely care. So many of the ingredients, including the cheese are all made locally and are so tasty! If you're in the area, come here instead of eating in Dubrovnik, you won't regret it. And trust the owners on what is good on the night, they won't guide you wrong. We will be back! And in between we'll be talking about the great conversations and excellent food with everyone we meet.

I had an amazing dining experience at an Italian restaurant with a stunning mountain view. The cozy ambiance made it feel like a genuine Italian home. The food is delicious, the staff and service are top notch. Pizzas are better than in Italy, but Rump steak with Black pig lard is my favourite. There is always a pleasant and friendly atmosphere. A place to which we are happy to return and we highly recommend to everyone.

The food is fantastic, the owner and his wife extremely friendly! The vegetables used are from their garden and they cook their homemade pasta to perfection. You’ll also be delighted by their authentic pizza. We’ve eaten here multiple times, tried almost every dish and were alway happy with our choice. I highly recommend you try it and taste their delicious creations yourself!

We ordered a Margarita pizza with added ham and the homemade Carbonara and shared.
We were recommended the warm chocolate brownie and ice cream and it was absolutely DELICIOUS 🤤.
When we came to pay, we were told that the brownie was a gift from the lovely server because we "were nice people" ☺. We weren't expecting this incredible kindness today- you made a special memory on our honeymoon.

My family and I stayed in a villa just blocks away from this restaurant.

We had no idea until we ate here and talked to Tanya and her husband (the owners) but across the street is a beautiful farm where most of the food you'll eat here is produced by themselves.

We were all feeling a little gross after travelling for two weeks. As soon as we ate here, we all felt a million times better. The ingredients and cooking here is so top notch, you'd have to pay probably 20x the price to get a meal like this back home.

We actually ended up coming back and eating here a total of three nights, even though we were only in town for six days. It's that good.

Tanya and her husband are so warm and friendly and are (rightfully) very proud of the business they've built.

I can't imagine how much time and work it takes not only to provide dishes and service of this quality, but to grow your own ingredients, and then make everything from scratch.

Literally everything on the menu is locally produced and made by hand; the pasta, the ice cream, the pate.

I would fly all the way back to Croatia just so I could eat dinner here again.

You can taste the LOVE the owner gave to the food they serve.

All food is very authentic and delicious, such as pizza kapo(with tuna carpaccio and rock fenel), homemade pasta, pancakes with special white orange jam, etc. but my favourites are definitely ---

Pizza BURRATA- baked in stone oven, with black pork lardo (pork fat marinated in Mediterranean herbs), buffalo mozzarella, and basil. The pork lardo gives a very rich taste and the herbs make it not greasy, the creamy mozzarella makes the whole thing juicy. Aroma explosion in the mouth.

Steak sandwich (unfortunately we didn't make a photo) - fresh bread with steak cut in slices, rocket salad. The highlights are the pickled onions, slightly sour, crunchy, and neutralised the sometimes irritating odor from fresh onion, and their homemade sauce together brings the taste into a lot of layers.

The people are lovely, affordable price for high quality food. We will definitely come back again and again!

Everytime i went there, I was amazed by the quality. Price makes sense for the quality. Service is immaculate! They make you feel at home. Ask them anything and they will answer it with kindness and profession. Definitely recommend!

This is very untipical croatian restaurant/pizzeria.
Here you can taste the best real homemade meals with extra quality ingridians and enjoy fully in explosion of tastes.
First of all, real napoletan pizza is made on fire. Service is by owners who take care about every guest. And, on the top of it, here you can taste fruits from their garden like homemade icecream of figs or syrup of wild oranges on the top of brownie. Wooow.
And pizza... The only problem is when you"ll taste here pizza, you will no more eat " regular" pizza from your neiberhood.

Amazing! I can’t find any word better to describe this restaurant! everything we tried was sooooo good! I went there for lunch and back to have dinner again, if I live here for a week, I would go everyday 🤣

Super fresh food, kind and welcoming staff. Really nice experience - well worth the ~10 minute walk from the main road (/sub city shopping mall). We went tired, (a little) bored, and HUNGRY .. We left full, satisfied and smiling!

Me and my family also and a friend were going out to eat and this restaurant was recommended so we went here. The pizzas were amazing and also the pasta was great. We were very happy about the food so also my family recommends this restaurant. 👍😀

Everything here was absolutely amazing. We came 3 days in a row and tried the food from across the whole menu.
Ingredients were very fresh and top quality and most of them were grown locally.

The best pizza and service! The freshest ingredients straight from their garden! We have been twice already and plan to go back again. The owners are such wonderful generous people too :-)

Today is our last night in Croatia and we have stayed in a hotel near the airport. Looking for a place to have dinner I found the Bistro pizzeria, how lucky we were!
What delicious food!
We ate a Greek salad, the burrata, a "Spicy" pizza and a tiramisu between two.
All food was made with fresh ingredients, vegetables from the owner's garden...couldn't ask for more!
but the best of all has been the service, the owner of the place attended us and she has been wonderful: friendly, fun and generous.
Thank you very much for everything, we hope to see you in Barcelona!
