Little Summer House

Wir waren im Sommer 2023 für eine knappe Woche Gäste in diesem Apartment. Das Apartment ist nicht luxuriös aber funktionell und praktisch eingerichtet. Es war sauber und wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Man konnte vom Apartment aus Restaurants, Strände und diverse Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zu Fuß erreichen.
Barbara die Gastgeberin ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Person, die immer alle Anfragen von uns zeitnah beantwortet hat. Sie kam auch einmal persönlich vorbei, um uns kennenzulernen und hat uns viele Tips und Möglichkeiten für Aktivitäten verraten und uns eine Flasche Wein als Willkommens-Geschenk mitgebracht. Unser Auto konnten wir nicht direkt beim Apartment parken allerdings konnten wir über das Kirchengelände auf den dahinterliegenden Parkplatz einen Stellplatz mieten. Hier haben wir unser Auto für den gesamten Aufenthalt stehen gelassen. Ein Vater und sein Sohn betreiben "Parking Centar". Auch das können wir nur empfehlen. Ein sehr hilfsbereiter und wirklich netter Mensch, der uns auch viel geholfen hat.
Baška ist ein wunderschöner Ort, wo wir viele tolle Menschen kennengelernt haben und jederzeit wieder hinfahren würden. Ein besonderes Danke möchten wir an Barbara und dem Pächter des Parkplatzes richten.

Apartmán na ulici Dvori Narca.
Plusy-novější vybavení, vkusně zařízené přízemí, tj. obývací pokoj s kuchyňským koutem, a první patro, tj. ložnice a koupelna. Dům má nová plastová okna, dveře a novou fasádu. Je účinně klimatizovatelný. Je cca 100m od moře.
Mínusy-20m od zvonu kostela, 200m od parkoviště, bez wifi, žádný welcome drink či jiná pozornost, minimální výbava kuchyně a koupelny spotřebním materiálem, kromě toaletního papíru nic. Nedotažená rekonstrukce-nespasovaný nábytek, páchnoucí sifon sprchové vaničky. Nedotvořený design posezení za domem.

This place has fallen into disrepair.

When we first arrived we found a near-empty jar of jam moulding in the cupboard, which immediately gave the impression that the house had not been cleaned properly. This was further evidenced by the stained sheets and spider nests…

The host did say parking is not available (which is an extra €15/day), but they did not say that it is a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest street! And in fact there is a shortcut at the back of the house that would reduce the distance by at least half, but the owner also neglected to share this with us, even when asked…

The house itself is not very well equipped or decorated. The pans stopped being ‘non stick’ years ago. There is about a dozen salad bowls but not a single cereal bowl. The knives are very dull, one is even fully broken. The chairs on the patio are quite unstable, as is the lowest section of railing. The stairs are very narrow and very high. The main light in the 1st bedroom is a terrible blue/white hospital light. The toilet seat is broken. The small kitchen is very dark (as is the dining/living room area) and the cupboards open into the walkway rather than into the wall - why!

The best thing about this place is the central location, but even that is not all good, because it is next door to the church which goes CRAZY at 6am every day!

The exposed stone walls are indeed very cool, and the rooftop patio is also very nice, though could use some shade. Also nice that the beach is 2 min away. But overall I would not recommend this place.
