Velika Slavica

This summit is the northernmost in Bitoraj-Viševica massif. It is not very popular as a destination but it is very easy to reach and offers quite a little adventure. Few hiking trails start from the abandoned macadam road (former Karolina road) between villages Brestova Draga and Slavica. Excitement starts once the path enters the forest - it goes through a difficult terrain full of rocks, boulders, fallen trees... A little bit of climbing is often needed. This is like a mini-version of "Bijele and Samarske stijene" Nature Reserve. The peak is rocky, 1120 meters high, marked and maintained by a Mountaineering Club from Rijeka. There is a great view of Bjelolasica, Burni Bitoraj, Fužine valley, Tuhobić and Risnjak. Visiting this peak can be combined with visiting nearby caves for a whole-day hike.

Predivan vrh, ne pretežak za popet se i odlično obilježen i zato sve pohvale PD Pljusak.
Nažalost zbog magle nije bilo vidika, al rado ću opet posjetit ovaj vrh.
