Konoba Novak

We order Peka lamb and pork (20 Euro x 2) at 10:30 in the morning on the way to the beach, for the dinner at 17:30 in the evening. This is a slow cooked meal and require some time to prepare.
The dish is large and 4 people can share it as is it cooked in a large pot.

Was there twice. Clearly one of the best restaurants we were eating in. The meal was delicious and the portions were huge. Prices are comparable to prices in the other restaurants in the city. Staff was smiling and nice all the time. The restaurant looks very nice and it is beautifully combined with the nature. My whole family was very satisfied with our dinners here and we can just recommend this place.

Nice, authentic place, fantastic and tasty food, freshly cooked off the wooden oven or Grill. Staff were nice and responsive. We were also offered a drink as gratis. Overal we had a very good dinner and nigh. Thanks to all of you and we will be back soon!!! :)

We wanted to eat the Croatian traditional dish Peka and tried to book a table at a restaurant in central Makarska, but they did not want to cook the dish because we were only two people (it takes 2-3 hours to cook). Then we were recommended to try the restaurant Konoba Novak, which is within walking distance from the center. The food was amazing! Absolutely incredible environment!

Great cosy place, very friendly staff, the food was actually prepared there which means it takes a bit of time but we didn't mind as it was super delicious. Best lasagne ever! Recommended as a great pizzeria!

My experience was more than great. The staff is very professional yet friendly and nice, but the food is pure perfection. We had a mix of grilled meats for two ("mesna plata za dvoje"), and the food was so, so tasty. You can smell and taste the real fire on which meats were cooked. We also had "Šopska salata", which was great too. Bear in mind that the quantities are very generous, we were two grown men who love to eat, yet we couldn't eat everything

If you like meat, they have the best food!

Great place with very tasty food and friendly staff. In a high season you need to reserve in advance because can be full even during weekdays.

Food and service were very good.

Amazing place and experience itself! The mussles were perfectly cooked and the broth with them was delicious. Seafood pasta was filled with mussles, squid and scallops. It was incredible! Also, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Great place. Food is delicious and prices are okay. Atmosphere is also very nice with the grill in next to the tables. I will definitely visit this place again if I'm in Makarska

They have outside furnaces where the foods being cooked, spectacular! :)

We tasted they pizzas, and pastas, all was delicious, I’ve ate a special filled pork medallion, and steak, those were great too!
One plus thing is they have special croatian dishes, if you want something local.

The prices are very good, compared to the restaurants at beach side.
