Restoran & apartmani “Santa Marija” DOL

Do yourself a favour and visit Restoran & apartmani “Santa Marija if you are in Hvar Island! It is a must! The food was so delicious and so much worth it for its price!! I visited with my brother a few days ago. Despite that we did not have a booking, they accommodated us very happily. Lovely people with an atmosphere that felt so home-like. We loved it.
They also had a little farm there, which was so cute! :)

PS: We we living in the city of Hvar, but we had rented a scooter for the island so we managed to get there. Most likely, you need a transport to reach in Dol.

Perfect, family owned outlet, home made goat cheese and home made pickled olives, locally cought calamari, home made fries, local lamb, home made lemon juice and really delicious home made carob and almond cake - experience we will definitely repeat!

Highly recommend this family operated restaurant for authentic local home cooking- Peka! Do call at least 3-4 hours before your dinning time as it takes hours to make the dish. We were lucky to learn about this place via our bike rental agent who was so helpful to book octopus peka for us in advance. FYI peka is minimum two persons @ 150-180 KN
Per person depends on what kind of meat you choose from. The place is super nice as it is located on the owner’s family farm with 300 plus olive trees and sugar sweet figs! Yup by September the fig tree was hanging tons of perfectly ripe figs that I ended up eating so much right off the tree. Their pets are also super fun to hangout with!

A lovely, bit away from the crowd of Hvar/Stari Grad, family run restaurant with great service and amazing food!

Set in the hills above Stari Grad and with all sorts of domestic animals you won't see in many places, all the food Santa Marija Dol serves is either home made or caught by hand. Meat or fish, you'll be very satisfied!

I purposely went on a recommendation to buy their local wine, and to anyone who goes there for lunch or dinner, I didn't have the opportunity because I was passing by, I recommend this bottle of white wine!

Awesome! Fresh caught fish Was great but had lots of bones to remove. Grilled calamar was very resilient. Recommended place wiem u r on the Island

Lovely people, nice location, excellent food and homemade liquors are INCREDIBLEs. One of the best "Konoba" we tried on the island. Prices are very fair, food portions more than enough. I think it's a must

What a great find, had a wonderful lunch served by a great hostess. Great homemade food, and delicious homemade cake. Highly recomend

When we arrived we were greeted by a pleasant waiter, then we ordered an octopus salad and then grilled squid.
The food was excellent and we got free brandy. All recommendations

Excellent food!!!!! We ate risotto with scrimps and, octopus salad and the best lamb that I ate ever in my life. So tasty and tender. The wine is also perfect. So overall 10/10 !!!!

I think it is enough to say once we had our first meal here we kept coming almost every day during our stay on Hvar Island. For everyone who is seeking for exceptional food made with love and local ingredients (which the owners Family Stančić grows in their own garden) - this is the place. Set in the heart of Hvar island, in the picturesque village Dol this family restaurant is a true gem. Try traditional lamb, veal or fish peka, it is mouth-watering 😋☺ We really felt like at home and are definitely coming back! Thanks to Mihael and the whole family&staff :)

Best restaurant on the Island Hvar!
Best decision to go up there! Perfect service including transfer from the harbour, delicious meals, nice family, homemade and fresh products like olive oil, wine, sausage, ham, bread and schnaps and a great ambiente under the trees! Thank you! Love to come back!

Very nice resturant very good food very good service

Eating directly on the farm together with donkeys, goats, cats, dogs.
The food was really good, the steak perfectly on point, portions big and everything so selections. Home made red wine was very good. Service really nice, got cake and a self made spirit on the house.

Best meal of my life! Got the octopus salad and the risotto, and I've never had such a good meal for such a great price.

We have an excellent dinner with a very nice service in an unpretentious place (someone's home actually) . Came without a reservation and they still accommodated us, home-made food was excellent and the wine as well. Not to mention they own olive oil which was delicious and we left if three bottle from there. Highly recommended.
