Bungalow Zrmanja

It has been a wonderful experience for me and my girfriend. We stayed for 12 days, 6 days in a hut, 6 days in the bungalow next to the pool.

We recommend both types of accomodation. The place itself, next to the river, is a little paradise. Zoran is super friendly and helpful and always open for a quick chat. On the other side of the river you will find a couple of options to eat. We would come back anytime.

host/owner is at your disposal all day.
only downside was a little bit messy dishes and fridge, easy fix with sponge and soap.
great place to escape summer heats.

Charming place right next to the River Zrmanja and perfect hosts. Zoran and Petar are both very kind and acommodating, and will help out with anything you may need.
The wooden huts are tiny, and can take 3-4 people, have a small kitchen and each has a designated bathroom (great size) in a separate area. You can also do barbecue in the outside area.
Parking is on-site and you can rent kayaks and quads from them as well. Wifi is available, but I recommend going off grid and just enjoying the stunning nature.
This side of the river is less crowded and much more peaceful, if you want the hustle and bustle just cross the bridge to the bars and restaurants on the other side.

I stayed in this bungalows on May 2016 for 2 nights. Even though it was raining a lot, our time there was brilliant. The owner was such a lovely man! He was helpful given directions and advice about the area and even invited us to coffee in the morning.

It seems that it was low season and we were the only guests at the time. The toilet and shower is in a separate bungalow and it is shared, but as I said we were alone and it was very clean.

The wooden bungalow has a little kitchen and living room on the first floor and the beds are upstairs ( stairs are very steep). You would not find luxuries here, but peace and nature. If you don't mind that, you will love it.

Around the area you can do rafting although we didn't try as we had planned to go to Plitvice National Park. The drive from Zrmanja is very nice.

I am positive suprised with all here. Beautiful nature and nice bungalows with warm and friendly hosting. Don't expect five 🌟 hotel here, it is all in spirit with this part of my dear Country. We where enjoy and for sure we'll be back.

This was like staying in paradise, particularly in terms of the setting and location - absolutely stunning, I've never seen anything quite like it in the world.
There are several wooden huts (quite luxury though), one or two stone lodges and we were staying in the (just one year old) beautiful 2 bedroom mobile home, with a huge veranda with shelter from the sun and space to the side for sunbathing.
About 3 meters away is the Zrmanja River. Gently flowing, pure clear water, going over the (mostly smooth) rocks. You can swim from there or walk across a bridge 1 min walk away to get to the other side, just sit on the rocks, or get a drink or ice-cream at the bar, or a simple meal at the restaurant (pizza, fish, burgers). The river was a lovely temperature - refreshing after the summer heat but not too refreshing!
Zoran and his son Petra will make you very welcome. He also has a selection of schnapps in a mini-fridge on the outside of their hut which you can help yourself from anytime.
Obravac is a small town about 10 mins drive away and it has a very small supermarket...but don't expect to be like a Tesco Extra - you are in the middle of the mountains and so it's just basics, bread, milk, cheese, ham, fruit, veg and tinned stuff etc.
This is a good base to visit the National Parks. We also did a kayak tour from 9am-2.30pm which was great and included (optionally) going down a 3 metre waterfall plus swimming. We also enjoyed just lazing around the beautiful area. There is a stunning waterfall which you can swim right next to, within 2-3 mins walk of the mobile home. It's the first picture you see on google if you look at the photos there.

Four beautifully arranged wooden (oak) bungalows in old school style located on the left bank of the river Zrmanja. The whole scene is just like the one from a fairy tale. Whole property is available for guests only (no trespassers) so you have total peace and safety. Owners are super kind and are willing to fulfil any wish you might have. I recommend that you arange kayak tour for the river Zrmanja via Owners of the bungalows; I find that the most convenient way. You can find two restaurants and a beach bar just across the river so there is no need to cook if you don't want to. Nearest shop is located in Obrovac and it is not convenient to go there every day unless if you really need to...think in advance to stock yourself. Location is remote and extremely beautiful. You can take a bath in cool crystal clear river Zrmanja almost from the doorstep. There is bad gsm signal but available wifi for guests is pretty good. I totally recommend this destination for families and couples!

Per toeval kwamen we hier terecht. Met de camper konden we de brug niet over richting de camping.

Terwijl we probeerden te keren bij de bungalows werden we zeer vriendelijk aangesproken door Zoran (de eigenaar). Hij gaf aan dat we hier ook mochten staan. Voor een zeer schappelijke prijs inclusief stroom, douche en wc. (Afvalwater en chemisch toilet legen kan hier niet, maar daar hadden wij geen last van).

Ook kun je van een schans de heerlijke Zrmanja rivier in springen en een kayak huren om een lekker stukje te peddelen! Zoran doet er alles aan om het naar je zin te maken.

De brug maakt wel veel lawaai, maar hier hadden wij geen last van. S'avonds rijdt er maar beperkt verkeer over heen en s'nachts vrijwel niet. Je went eraan.

Deze plek is uniek, ondanks de brug zeer rustig en zeer beperkt beschikbaar! Aan de overkant zijn genoeg leuke restaurantjes en prachtige watervallen.

Wij hebben een geweldige tijd hier gehad, en komen zeker terug!

Ich wurde auch angesprochen ob ich im Hof stehen/überwachen will. Ich habe nicht in den Blockhäusern übernachtet. Es war super. Privater Fluss Bereich und direkter Zugang zum Fluss. Die Brücke hat nicht gestört. Nachts hat man nichts gehört. War dann sogar zwei Nächte hier da es so schön war.

Magnifique emplacement en bord de rivière. Le cadre est magique. Vue au réveil sur l'eau turquoise.
Piscine privée.
Possibilité de louer un kayak pour une petite balade à la cascade toute proche.
Très bon accueil ! Zoran et sa famille sont très gentils et extrêmement serviable.

Les villes touristiques et l'accès à l'autoroute sont un peu éloignés mais ça reste assez central pour visiter Split, Zadar et Plitvices si on ne veut pas changer de logement à chaque fois.

Sehr schöne Bungalows am Fluss. Der Besitzer Zoran ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und immer für ein Schwätzchen zu haben. Gegenüber am anderen Flussufer gibt's Bars und Restaurants. Über Zoran kann man auch Kajaktouren buchen.
Die Bungalows sind sauber, gemütlich und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Man hat sogar eine privates Badezimmer in einem anderen Bungalow.
Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Drugačiji odmor uz obalu rijeke u drvenoj kolibi. Domaćin ljubazan i uslužan, svakako preporučam.

Der Aufenthalt in einer der River huts direkt am Fluss mit privaten Zugang zum Wasser war einfach wunderbar! Der Gastgeber Zoran und sein Sohn Peter waren sehr freundlich immer hilfsbereit.
Absolut zu empfehlen ist eine Kajaktour flussaufwärts zum nächsten Wasserfall. Die Kajaks kann man sich bei Zoran direkt mieten.
Zwei Restaurants sind ebenfalls direkt am Fluss.
Wir werden wiederkommen!

Llegamos por casualidad con la autocaravana porque ibamos al camping que esta despues del puente, la verdad que suerte tuvimos porque es un sitio estupendo, dueños super atentos.

Sehr schön und Besitzer sehr nett und hilfsbereit.
Hatten hier eine sehr schöne Zeit.
Die Bungalows sind sauber, Spüle und Kühlschrank ist vorhanden. Tagsüber Fenster und Türen zu, Nachts auf, dann bleibt es angenehm kühl, wir haben uns einen kleinen Ventilator mitgebracht, ist zu empfehlen, eine Klimaanlage gibt es nur in der Stein-Villa sowie dem modern Haus, ist aber in den Holz-Bungalows mit oben beschrieben Tipp auch nicht nötig.

Neu gebaut gibt's es einen Pool, welches etwas wärmer ist als der Fluss (Pool 28, Fluss ca. 22 Grad, anfang August 2021)
Geplant für die nächste Saison (saison 2022) ist eine kleine Bar für die Gäste und noch mehr Liegestühle, sowie ein fertig stellen des Pools.
Für 7 Euro die Stunde lässt sich ein Kajak ausleihen, um den Fluss hinauf bis zu den ogarav buk Wasserfällen zu fahren (sehr zu empfehlen, extrem schön!)
Zum Einkaufen etc. ist ein Auto definitiv Vorraussetzung. Dann steht zb. Der ca. 20 Minuten entfernte Maximarket zu Verfügung.
Das Restaurant gegenüber ist aber günstig und mit Visa Karte bezahlbar, sodass wir nur für Frühstück eingekauft haben.

Leider ist die Bar gegenüber in der Nacht zum 06.08.2021 durch einen Blitzeinschlag abgebrannt, bis zur nächsten Saison steht diese aber laut Besitzern wieder. Blitzableiter gibt es bei den Bungalows leider nicht, ggf. sollte hier nachgerüstet werden, wie die jüngsten Ereignisse zeigen(!).

Lediglich das Angebot über die standup paddling tour ist auf der Website beschrieben, existiert jedoch nicht. Zudem sind die Preise für die Quad Tour deutlich teurer als 120 Euro für 4 Stunden, hier stimmen die vorab Infos also auch nicht. Sonst alles perfekt! Wir kommen wieder!
