Hertz Car Rental - Dubrovnik, Airport

The car was in good technical condition, it wasn't clean enough inside and also fluid for the windscreen runs out and it wasn't refuelled before renting. Service in the Hertz was very polite and quick. I have received all information about costs and insurance conditions. The deposit was refunded. The people who work there are very nice and friendly, :) The general experience was really good. So next tie in Croatia I will use Hertz again :)

UPDATE!!

Hertz Customer Relations Department Croatia contacted me within a couple of days of my initial comments being posted.

They reviewed my car Rental agreement and acknowledged that the damage was pre existing and that the charge had been levied in error.

Monies deducted relating to the alleged damage are now in the process of being refunded to my credit card.

A special thanks goes out to Hertz Croatia for intervening and resolving the issue so promptly.

Have used Hertz for years and am a Hertz Gold Customer. Booked and paid for car in advance. Picked up a lovely new Hyundai and off I went on my 11 day Croatian adventure. The office did try and sell me Supercover on pick up but I declined as I had my own insurance. On drop off I was told there was a scuff on the side skirt and that I was liable for it. Had to fill out an accident report despite no accident and told that €210 would be debited from my credit card. I complained and said I would take it up with Hertz on my return home which I did. Was informed that all the documentation would be forwarded by email the following day. Guess what .....no documentation but three weeks later €650 was debited to my credit card without a word from Hertz.
No doubt Hertz Dubrovnik will ignore this review and only respond to positive ones.

Hertz were fantastic! We had a problem with another car rental company and so went to the hertz rental kiosk at the airport. They were extremely helpful and polite (unlike sixt) and were able to give us a very competitive price immediately. We were able to drive into Montenegro and all the paperwork to do so was provided without a problem. No issues on returning the car. Very organised and very helpful. Highly recommend! Thanks

Our rental experience was perfect! The staff (two girls named Karina and Jana) were accommodating, helpful and very kind. We even accidentally forgot something inside the vehicle after we returned it. The staff discovered the lost item and contacted us to set up a way to return it. It was so nice! Thank you very, very much.

I have rented from almost every company in several countries, and I've never had a better experience! This Hertz location has an incredible team, especially Karina. It was like I was renting a car from a friend. When I come back to Dubrovnik, I will absolutely rent from this location again.

We got Seat Ibiza with a lot of small damages but clean and fully serviceable. Check out and return procedure was been friendly, easy and fast. Fuel policy full to full is very comfortable, deposit refund was been urgently. Recommended!

The Dubrovnik Airport Hertz location is amazing. The staff is very helpful, considerate and gets you on your trip quickly and safely! Thanks to the entire staff (Doris, Yana and Karina) for taking good care of us!!

We arrived to collect our car and were on our way within 20 minutes. Very fast and efficient service. Dejan Bajunović met us and he was friendly and helpful, explaining everything and going around the car with us pointing out any marks or scratches that needed to be noted. The car wasn't the newest but unfortunately their stock has not been replenished this year because of Covid. Having said that the car caused no problems and was reliable.
Drop off at the end of our stay was just as efficient - we were met by Dejan again. We would thoroughly recommend Hertz and it's staff at Dubrovnik airport🙂.

Absolutely fantastic service. This was for a rental from 10th October returning on 19th October.

First, the gentleman who welcomed me that evening was super friendly and easy going. He explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. We received a lovely vehicle that drove very well.

Unfortunately, the Airbnb in which I was staying was up on a hill and access via an unpaved road. I knew I couldn't handle these roads with a manual transmission vehicle.

I returned the car to exchange it for an automatic and these guys helped me, no questions asked. I was in and out with an automatic car and my anxiety at ease knowing that I would be able to get around Dubrovnik safely and efficiently.

I know who I am going to use on my next visit.... These guys. Thank you very much!!!

From start to finish the team at Hertz Dubrovnik Airport were excellent . The car was perfect in an excellent condition and the hiring process wonderfully easy, all the staff were professional and the stand out staff member was Blanca with her professionalism and good humor. I take my ratings seriously and have been noting a lot of instances, restaurants, Airbnb places, where manager seems to have changed but using prior manager’s ratings. This is the first case where the manager seems underrated.

These guys are so nice: I don’t know how many examples to list: 1: on pickup beings super friendly and accommodating, 2: on adding additional driver via email: at better discount that I could have asked for (I rented for the 29 day max) 3: on explaining me their policy (I’m used to SIXT - no more), just too many things to list. Oh, right: I’m now residing in Montenegro and I had to return the car today by 5 in Dubrovnik Airport. Did not get let in because of no covid test (previously misinformed) and these guys (and a girl):) came to the airport to pick up the car. For free. But wait, there’s a punchline: one of them DROVE ME BACK ACROSS THE BORDER TO THE HOUSE. I’ve been complaining a lot on these review sites but these guys gave me hope back, no joke. Be well people!
