Trka na prstenac

Must see when you are in Istria around the end of August. The walk starts in Barban and then after a 10 to 15 minutes you end up at the venue itself. The event with horses itself is professionally organized with big television screens so you can see the action from all angles even when you're not in the front row (it gets a bit crowded :)).

If you want to see the action up close, you'll need to come a bit earlier. We arrived 10 minutes before the start and saw everything (parade + ring race).

Great festival. Didn't have a clue what it was about before we got there, but was a great day out. We were on holiday not far away and just went on a whim. Felt very cultural and traditional, but we felt very welcome and had a brilliant day out. Seemed very organised and would recommend to anyone who is in the region at the time. A unique event you'll always remember.

Important part of Istrian history. Interesting event to see.

Interessante spettacolo che si svolge tradizionalmente tutti gli anni.
Emozionante gara a cavallo in cui il cavaliere deve infilare un anello di ferro con la sua lancia alta tre metri mentre il cavallo è al galoppo.
Gara molto partecipata.
3 giorni di festa con stand gastronomici e di piccoli oggetti.

Jedinstveni događaj u Istri, usporediv sa alkom u Sinju, tko voli konje u akciji obavezno bi jednom u životu trebao pogledati trku. Nakon trke je lokalna fešta do sitnih sati.

Stara viteška igra koja je prvi put održana 1696. godine u Barbanu, a obnovljena je 1976. godine i održava se kontinuirano sve do danas. Održava se 3. nedjelje u kolovozu.
Natječu se najbolji barbanski konjanici i
preporučijem dolazak i nezaboravan doživljaj.

Moje prvo prisustvovanje i bila oduševljena 😉👍😄🤗

Mali gradić Barban svake je godine domaćin popularne povijesne utrke.Zabavan i edukativan program namijenjen je i djeci i odraslima.

Alka, ali u daleko skromnijem obliku. Simpatično.. Interesantno dvodnevno događanje. Prvi dan trka na viticu a drugi dan glavna trka, trka na prstenac.
