Konoba Sidro

This is a great place to stop in for a bite to eat. Yes I was affected by the pig roasting on the spit but they have many other options. Fish, chicken, lamb on the spit, salads and plenty of options of pork is not your thing. The staff are great and friendly. Very close to the seaside so the seafood is fresh. Stop in if you are near here you will be placed that you did. Sorry I was so excited about the food that I forgot to take a picture of the plates of food!!

Very good food, at the begining we were welcomed by very kind waitress, no problem to communiate in english. We visted them twice, always very positive. At the end of both visites we were offered a free drinks (cherry and rakia) by were friendly manager.
One minus - at the end of second visit card payment was not possibile but manager lady apologized and offered drink.

RECOMMEND!

Try the piglet, freshly grilled on open fireplace. Before, go for the truffle cheese or the platter with cheese and ham (prsut) mix. Delicious. Team is also kind and helpful.

We got the roasted pig with roasted potatoes and Swiss Chard for take out. It was all delicious! Couldn’t ask for anything to be better!

Very decent food with reasonable prices! Service is very kind, they speak foreign languages. Very nice in overall!

A really pet-friendly (greetings from our 3 beagles) and hospitable restaurant with wonderful local dishes with products from regional suppliers. Just give the wonderful roast suckling pig a try, it really tasted great! Thanks to the complete team, we for sure will come back again soon!

On our journey to Rovinja we past several restaurants with pigs rotating on a spit over an open fire along the roadside and we felt inspired to return today for a late lunch. We chose Konoba Sidro and we have no regrets at all. The semi outdoor dining was very pretty in its decor and the staff were excellent; professional and inviting at the same time and our order was taken and delivered very promptly. We all ordered the roasted pork plus what was called ‘breaded’ potatoes which were cubes of potatoes cooked to perfection in a frying pan - they were soft, moist and very delicious. The serving or pork was extremely generous (we were advised that the restaurateurs like to have happy, satisfied customers) and the flavour didn’t disappoint the anticipation of our taste buds - SO delicious. We accompanied our meal with a salad and a glass each of local wine. We did pay a little more than we have been paying in other Croatian restaurants however we didn’t begrudge the bill at all. The whole experience was well worth it. Konoba Sidro certainly made happy, satisfied customers as far as we are concerned.

We were on our way back from a day out in Rovinj and discovered this gem!! My sea bass was first class and the service excellent. The rest of the family opted for spit roasted pig or the half roast chicken which also looked amazing. I would highly recommend.

Having been there several times before, I took my mother and my two teenage kids and we enjoyed an excellent meal. Three of us had meat off the spit and my mother had the sea bass - the best she'd ever had apparently. The service was friendly and efficient. If you are in the Porec / Vrsar / Rovinj area, Sidro should absolutely be your first choice for lunch or dinner in my opinion. I will definitely be back.

Nice place, good local food. We chose roasted pig and roasted lamb with potato. Very tasty! :)

Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures of food or restaurant but I was more than impressed with freshness, quality of food and service. I shared lamb and roasted pork with my friend had mixed salad and crepes with walnuts for dessert. Food was well seasoned and prepared. Thank you Lorijana for great service. Will be back for sure. Keep up a good work.

The food is fresh made on the grill, very soft and crunchy. The quality is very good. Service was great. Everybody was very nice and very helpful. We recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely amazing food with lamb and Spanferkel and homemade pommes, delicious salads (tomato and krautsalat) and palatschinken (pancakes) with ICE cream for dessert. We had a good Coffee as well as refreshing Radler to drink, and Our lovely Service also brought us a Schnaps on the House as a digestiv. We were seated outside, beneath a Kletterpflanze that gave us some refreshing shade from the summer Sun in the afternoon. The Toilets are clean, roomy and easy to find. We can absolutely recommend Konoba Sidro and we're sure to return on Our next vacation. Also I'd like to specifically thank Our Service, Loriana, Since she did such a great Job and also making us feel welcome and comfy throughout our stay!

A once in a lifetime kind of place. My husband drove by and did a U-turn to get back. The food is outstanding, excellent service, immaculate presentation. The server recommended us dishes - including their homemade meats paired with cheese, and we were not disappointed. We ate the rotisserie pork, large chicken salad and calamari. It’s a bit of a drive but well worth the visit if you’re into next-level food experiences.

The atmosphere is incredible, the service is perfect. The food is tasty and juicy. I would recommend it to anyone who happens to be in the area. :)
