Tesla's Gastro House Plitvice

This is a beautiful and tranquil location with first class accommodations, dining and service. Visnja went out of her way to provide delicious meals and was able to accommodate special diets. Tesla’s exhibits the utmost of the gracious Croatian culture.

After visiting the Plitvice Lakes, this was the perfect quaint and cozy place to stay. The owners were so kind and a joy to chat with. The rooms were pristine and had a unique charm. The dinner was absolutely a highlight… our hosts served an amazing meal: warm struklji, carrot ginger soup, and the freshest baked trout and vegetables. Unforgettable visit!

We had an amazing time at Tesla's Gastro. Visnja was a wonderful and attentive host, making sure we always had what we needed. Our room had a large comfortable bed with plenty of room for two adults to plop down after a long day of travel and hiking. The property is about 10 minutes driving from Entrance 2 of Plitvice Lakes National Park, making it a great staging point for anyone looking to go.

We opted to have both breakfast and dinner and both were awesome! Dinner was especially tasty; it was a homemade meal consisting of strukli (a dish from Zagreb that's like a Croatian Mac & cheese), a carrot ginger soup (very refreshing after eating so much meat & bread in Croatian!), baked fish with vegetables and potatoes (yummy & HUGE), and a delightful cheesecake dessert. Dinner was served facing an idyllic meadow, and it's hard to think of a more perfect view.

Other things:
- really nice jacuzzi to unwind in. It's a similar view as we had for dinner but it's in a semi-closed structure so it doesn't get too cold or hot
- the property is far away from the main road that it's very quiet. You'll pretty much only hear nature at night.

Our first night in Croatia was wonderful, this beautiful inn was perfect. Lovely room, nice and clean, comfy bed. We enjoyed a drink while overlooking the views of the valley, then had an amazing 4 course dinner. Visjna was such a lovely hostess, we enjoyed talking to her. Our only regret is that we only stayed 1 night!

Tesla’s Gastro House was our favorite stay during our road trip throughout Croatia. The location is just beautiful— peaceful, quaint and only a 10min drive to Plitvice Lakes. The family went above and beyond for every aspect of our stay, and we LOVED all of the food and drinks they prepared. If you stay here, I recommend at least 2 nights, and you must do dinner and breakfast with them.

The rooms are spectacular— beautifully designed with a boutique feel. Clean, comfortable and had all the extras we could possibly need. Attention to detail everywhere.

Absolutely our favorite part of Croatia was staying here! Location (10 minutes from Plitivice lakes national park) is fantastic, the property is lovely with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy the great views. Our room was beautiful and modern. The best part was enjoying the company and delicious home cooked 4 course dinner from our hosts. Best food we had the entire time in Croatia. We cannot wait to come back to this beautiful country and when we do, we will be staying at Tesla's Gastro House!

It’s beautiful accommodation with awesome owners near Plitvice lakes. Total silence, beautiful nature…gluten free food possibilities.you just have to go there.

Fantastic place! Visnja and Davorin are amazing with their hospitality and excellent food. You need to try breakfast and dinner there! I recommend as much as possible!

We were for one night in a very nice and spacious double bed room. The location is rural and quiet, to the Plitvice Lakes are a few minutes by car.
Super dinner, very good breakfast. Very nice hostess and staff. Will be happy to come again!

This place is an absolute gem. The rooms are clean and have everything you need. The food was amazing, convenient, and freshly prepared. Višnja and Davorin go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. I even received a special homemade birthday cake the night we arrived. If you’re in the area, this is the place to stay!

We had a pleasure to enjoy home made dinner at Tesla’s guest house and it was definitely one of the best dining experiences we have had so far. Beautiful outdoor terrace, the food was really tasty and filling - we even got a plate full of fresh bread and local cheese on the house! The hosts are really really friendly and guests oriented - keep it going! Thank you so much for having us over for a dinner. We can’t wait to come back!

I love it! The house is amazing and the Nature Around it is mesmerizing! Everything in the house is new, very clean and beautiful to look at. Plitvice Lakes are very close, you can hike or rent a bike, either way you will enjoy every second of your stay there. I enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and tasty breakfast. The service is excellent. I'm looking forward to coming back:)

Very cozy place - quiet and amazing view - with super friendly hosts who made lunch for us when we arrived though we just booked the room one day in advance. The food was delicious - 4 courses were served at dinner and they even made a vegetarian menu. The tangerine marmalade at breakfast was outstanding!! Also a great location and nice beds.

The kind of place you wish you'd been to before. With the kind of hosts you're sure you've been friends with before and know you'll be friends with long after. The food is divine dalmatian. The location is close to the main entrances to Plitvička Lakes but secluded enough to feel you're in your own park. Can't wait to try the jacuzzi and sauna (when it's built). In short, hope I can go back soon.

I have spent 3 nights at this place and loved every moment! The hotel is located on a fantastic location with breathtaking views. I enjoyed riding a bike and walking through the Plitvice lakes national park. The hotel is completely new, the rooms are big and cozy and bathrooms are so nice. But most importantly, the staff is extremely warm, hospitable and always ready to help with everything you need.

I always wanted to visit Plitvice Lakes and finally i had the oportunity to go and is nothing short of a miracle. Stunning viewpoints and photogenic waterfalls and a perfect accommodation in Tesla's Gastro House. It is a family hotel and it really gives you that warm welcome of home. Location is fantastic, the National Park is just around the corner. The house is beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. Food is delicious and our hosts are most lovely people I have ever met, always smiling and ready to help. I want to recomend this place from all of my heart and I hope that I will come back soon.

Stayed one night while visiting Plitvice Lakes. Such a wonderful place to stay, wish we stayed longer. Everything ways perfect, from the room, the public spaces inside, outdoors with amazing Mountain Views, and the superb service. Amazing experience.

We stayed 3 nights an we loved it: super nice hosts, clean and cosy rooms and a beautiful landscape around. And don't miss the chance to eat dinner! We had every evening a 4 course dinner with local fish or meat, vegetables and seasoning - all cooked with love.
The house is 10 min by car from the national park entrance 2, which is less crowded then the other entrance.

Great location! The rooms are very nice, pleasant, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Hosts are so kind and always at our disposal.
