Went in October 2022, the forest is magical, painted in autumn colours, with plenty of mushrooms🍄.
From Razloge village, it takes around 25 minutes down to the spring (and a bit more to go back up).
Absolutely stunning.

A beautiful place to visit. Very calm and refreshing, sorrounded by woods and nature. There is a hiking trail from Razloge; it's ~2 km long with an average gradient of 14%. You can pay the entrance fee in Razloge, since this is a part of the Risnjak National Park.
There is also a circular trail, but we didn't take that route. It also seems not that hard, especially when you're in such a magnificent place.

It's fantastic, awesome deep well of the Kupa river.You must be fit, and in very good condition to come down to the well and back. It's worth visiting it, nice and hard experience. 🙂👍👍👍👍👍

Very beautiful place. It's easy to reach it from the "Planinska kuca Kupari" and the "Tratinčica" restaurant and rooms near the village of Hrib. The very narrow but paved road from the village of Hrib will take you to the free parking lot near the restaurant. Ignore reviews about a very bad road full of potholes. July 2022, the road is in good condition (but is narrow and winding), it has obviously been repaved recently. From the parking lot, it's roughly 45 minutes - 3.5km. The path is nice, scenic and easy.

It is one of the beautiful place in Croatia. You must see this👍🏻 Calm and amazing😊 There are a lot of fishes, birds and real nature🌳🌿 Also you can have a picnic there.

Beautiful spot for nature and river lovers. Incredible color and serenity sometimes filled with thin layer of fog which appears when there is a big temperature difference between air and water.

The source of river Kupa is amongst the most beautiful, most popular and most visited river sources in Croatia. Like many other karst-type springs, it's water emerges from a deep pit surrounded by cliffs, forms a small lake and immediately grows into a strong river. To be more scientific, this is called a vaucluse type of water spring, derived from Latin for "vallis clausa". It can be reached only on foot from two different directions. I suggest the northern approach from village Hrvatsko through the river canyon as it is very picturesque. When sunlit, the spring lake is colored in a unique tone of turquoise. As from a mountaineer's point of view, the place is located within Risnjak National Park at 321 m.a.s.l. and is Checkpoint No. 13 of "Goranski planinarski put". Prepare yourself for unusually beautiful nature.

Every trip to Gorski Kotar should include visit to Kupa spring, beautiful and still not fully researched natural phenomenon. Chose between two acces paths, Kupari is longer but features smaller incline. Bring your own food and drinks, no catering facility on site. Asphalt but narrow roads, drive carefully.

A serene hike through the valley brings you to the beautiful source of the river Kupa. Stop at the visitor centre along the way and learn about the river and the National Park, and get souvenirs.

Gorgeous place, words don't give it justice!
Go there every year for an annual visit to wellspring of river Kupa (Kolpa). Start is from a village Razloge. There are two ways to get down, a steeper way takes about 30-40 minutes, it's slippery and temperature drop is significant so dress in layers and hiking shoes are a must. Other way is a 1,5-2h nice walk by the river. I prefer to mix it. Beautiful!

A perfect spot of untouched nature. Mountain Croatia at its best. An ideal spot for a day in nature. The approach from the west is the easiest for families with small children. It takes 45min to 1 hour to get there through that route.

Hidden Croatian gem. In contrast with other highly crowded areas, this place is wonderful. It is not easy to reach it, especially if you come from Razloge, but it is worth it. Be sure to try cold water directly from the source, just to remember how the water should taste, and fill up your bottles for a return walk toward your car.

Wonderful place to rest your minds. Try to walk into the water which measures 7°C.
