Magnificent place! Beautiful views from terrace and pool. Great hospitality from the owners and staff. 5 star service! Nearby pebble and rocky beaches. Fabulous area for total relaxation!

Stella Mare truly deserves a 5 star rating. The owners and staff were incredibly nice and helpful and really made the stay. The location is perfect for getting away and enjoying the ocean breeze and quiet. Also the restaurant has the best food in Hvar.

A beatiful villa, run by a lovely and very welcoming family. The place was so well looked after and a very traquil place to relax. It was clean throughout with a lovely pool area which had great views. The food also was great and we would highly recommend to anyone. Its made us want to come back.

From the first step in the door, it is an absolute pleasure.
We were warmly received by Ewa and she made sure to make us feel at home. Then we had the most amazing dinner all prepared by Nada and her team.
The rooms are spacious, the breakfast is amazing,the infinity pool is breathtaking.
You are seen as a member of the family whilst you in this slice of heaven.
I would give it as many stars as possible and it still wouldn't be enough.

We booked this place because of the rating on Google, and we were not disappointed.

It’s run by a very kind and welcoming family. It feels so personal, a big contrast to normal hotels where you are just random guests in a crowd. We truly felt like home, and since the hotel had many cancellations we got a free upgrade to our room. The mother of the family who runs the hotel and the waitress even babysat our baby from time to time when we had breakfast and lunch. So kind!

Also, the mother of the family cooks amazing food - no need to go anywhere else. For us this was perfect since we had a baby that we could put down for the night in the room, and enjoy a wonderful dinner just the two of us downstairs.

Bonus; Alongside the water there is also a great trail where you can walk or run for about 2km one way, with small beaches along the way.

10/5 experience... if you want to be able to totally relax and unwind but still have location, food & wine at your fingertips - this is your destination 💖 it's a family run 5 star experience that allows for you to do your own thing whether it be a couples, friends or family retreat... the perfect antidote to the business of Hvar but with the benefit of its location, sun, sea, culinary and 5 star experience... if only we didn't have to travel so far to get here - itvwpuldcsurekt be an annual pilgrimage 💖

My stay here was one of the best experiences I've ever had. It is run by a local family who are the most welcoming and warming people I met in Croatia. From the second we arrived, to the second we left it was nothing but amazing. They get many people who return year after year and one of the reasons is due to the Mother of the house who cooks in the kitchen. The menu changes every night and it was the freshest meal we had in Croatia. The ambiance, the views, the rooms, the food - everything was 5/5. I cannot wait to go back and see Mateo and the rest of the family again.

According to the other reviews, the location of the hotel is perfect, the view from the terasse is amazing, the garden is beautiful and the apartment is spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the dinner menu and the local 🍷 However, the 1st thing is the hospitality of the hosts. It is only our 1st evening here, but we're awaiting the next few days.
Fourtunately we have spent 5 more days in this amazing place, so l can give few additions to the 1st impressions. The property is situated in a small coastal village called Zavala. The exact location of the hotel is on a steepy hill 2 minutes far from the sea. The buildings and facilities are within a beautiful garden: you walk among olive, pomegranate, lemon and orange trees. The accomodation and only-for-guests restaurant is only one part of the wide scale family run business: they are dealing with olive oil and wine production and boat service. The olive and wine come from their own  garden and vineyard. There are different sized and equipped apartments from 2 to 5 guests. The pool is well looking, clean and appropriate for having short swimms, it is encircled with a nice relaxing area, sunbeds, parasols and bar.
The quality of breakfast buffet is exceptional, but it is superseded by the dinner menu: there is only one locally fashioned option, which was always perfect for us. You should try their plain dry red wine from the last year called Plavac Mali.
We loved most of all the kindness and cordial, open-armed attitude of the whole staff.
We are anticipating for coming back.

This family-run hotel is a special place for anyone looking to spend time in a beautiful, tranquil place. The family go much beyond what is normal in looking after their guests and it's a pleasure to stay here. Food is great and very reasonable. Gorgeous views and lots of activities possible on this beautiful island.

Familyrun hotel. Very friendly staff and great food. The manager and the others do everything to make the stay as good as possible. Quiet area but a few other restaurants available. Room was good, clean pool without chlorine with an amazing view and a short walk down to the sea. Only a few rooms in the hotel, so even when full it doesn’t get busy. Highly recommended!
