Restaurant Petar Plitvice Lakes

Hiked Plitvice and then stopped here after for a fantastic dinner of trout and tuna steak. We also had a Mediterranean salad mixed vegetables and bread service as well as wine.. It was an intimate experience with the chef as we sat right next to where he was cooking. Great service great food. A memorable experience. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place close to plitvice lakes national park, visited for dinner and it was a great experience. Ordered Petar plate for 2, it was delicious but the portion was huge. I did not like the lemonade, it is just lemon juice mixed with water. However, not reducing stars as I tried it in other restaurants also in Croatia and it was the same.
Service was super quick and nice.

Location is perfect not far from the lakes entrance.
We were served by Milan who was fantastic. His service really made the night.
We did not have to wait long at all and the food was second to none. The Petar Platter for 2 was HUGE and delicious. We thought it was great value for money! We would definitely be back again and more than happy to share a Rajika with Milan!

Amazing Dalmatian cuisine, delicious food. The lamb chop and cutlet were so tasty and well cooked. Calf steak was quite good, cooked medium rare. Grilled trout was fresh and sweet. Choc cake is so good we ordered a second serving. Lovely ambience, chef owner and great service. Thank you for such a memorable experience!!

Waiters are very polite and attentive. They welcomed us and attended to our needs as soon as we came to the location.
Food portions are amazing and the food itself tasted very delicious!

The food was good too. We chose Petar Plate for two. The portion is too big for us, especially for me :))
We loved the DUCK TARTARE. It’s their complimentary. The taste was excellent. A bit spicy but really good.

We ate for dinner and it’s in October. This is low season for them. They have terrace and parking lots. Not so far from entrance 2 of Plitvicka National Park with big signage. You can’t missed it.

We started with the mushroom soup, the main course was a 300g 🥩 , very delicious with rice and grilled vegetables as sides

Great place, delicious food and very friendly staff.
We were there twice and enjoyed it a lot: calf under the bell, beefsteak and grilled trout, everything was very tasty, huge portion of proteins with a side dish and wedgie.
We arrived for lunch too early, and while we were waiting for the main course we got cheese plate as a compliment of the house, very kind of them.

As starter we took Roastbeef, which was very tasty. My girlfriend took as main dish just the Homemade Chicken Soup, which was tasty, but nothing special. My dish was the best of the evening. I took calf liver, which was the best liver I ate since years. Super tasty! The prices are absolutely okay, for the quality we got and the friendly service.

Highly recommend! Touched by the owner’s serving attitude! Vegetarian meal will bring u a fresh experience! The best dessert in my journey this time in Croatia🌹

The price is good. The food is delicious and the amount is large. I don't think there's any ventilation in the kitchen. There is a lot of food smell and smoke inside.

Absolutely beautiful experience and food. The chocolate cake was homemade from a local lady and was mind blowing.
The waiter was excellent, funny and very helpful. taught us how to properly say "Thank You" in Croatian!

So good we came back for a second night! Wonderful service, great food, cannot say enough good things, just go eat here, you will be happy! We had the skewers and schnitzel the first evening, and the beef peka (cooked under a “bell” in the wood fire) the second night.

One of the best meals we have had in Croatia. We had the homemade meats and cheeses and the hog peke (under the bell.) both were amazing, along with a great bottle of Croatian wine. Great place, lovely people. Definitely stop here if you are in Plitvice lakes.

Nice location near Plitvice National park. Took the Petar platter for 2 - it was big portion and delicious!! Service was nice too. Enjoyed it for sure.

Absolutely delicious food — very ample portions, excellent, friendly service. Also a great, casual atmosphere. I would recommend Petar to anyone without hesitation!

The walk up to the restaurant was Ahh-mazing
The atmosphere was incredible, the smell of the burning wood, the fresh smell of the walnut tree... was taking me back to my younger years

The waiter was incredible and friendly.

The food was beyond delicious. Specially the wild boar.
The portions are huge, and great to be shared wirh the entire table.
3 plate will feed 4-6 adults.

Definitely stop by if you have the chance. You will forever remember this place.

Great restaurant! Staff were extremely pleasant and the food was excellent! Great lamb chops and the meat platter is great if you are hungry. Steaks were super well done and tasty as well. Don't miss this place
