Konoba Danijeli

Just had a fantastic evening at Danijeli! The food was outstanding, and the service was quick, friendly, and professional (special shout-out to Mikatz!). The cheese platter with truffle cheese and sheep's cheese was delightful, especially the 24-month-old sheep's cheese with its creamy, spiciness, and sourness - truly something to be proud of.

The steak with truffle sauce was cooked to perfection, and the ravioli filled with curd cheese and creamy truffle sauce was simply delicious. The mixed grill was also impressive, with a generous portion of high-quality meat for a fair price of €15.

The pannacotta was smooth and flavorful, and I highly recommend trying the grappa with sage/lemon - it was wonderful! We didn't get a chance to try the other steaks, but watching their preparation in front of the grill was mesmerizing.

In summary, Danijeli is an excellent restaurant with impeccable attention to detail and top-notch quality. Keep up the great work!

I had the pleasure of dining at Konoba Danijeli in Istria, and it exceeded all expectations. Following a friend's recommendation, I decided to try their renowned beefsteak with homemade Istrian pasta, known as pljukanci. What truly impressed me was their dedication to catering to different dietary needs - they offered both gluten-free and regular options. The homemade sauce, enriched with truffles from the Istria region, elevated the dish to a whole new level of indulgence.

But that's not all - the experience of seeing the beefsteak grilled on a wooden fire pit right in front of you added an extra layer of authenticity and flavor to the meal. The attention to detail extended to their salad, which was homemade and equally delightful.

What truly set this experience apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff, especially Milan. His recommendations and deep understanding of the menu showcased his knowledge and passion for the cuisine. Milan's friendly demeanor added a welcoming touch to the evening.

To top it off, at the end of the meal, a generous gesture came in the form of a homemade teranino liquor on the house, which was a delightful way to conclude the culinary journey.

I wholeheartedly recommend Konoba Danijeli to anyone seeking an exceptional dining experience in Istria. The combination of outstanding flavors, skillful preparation, and top-notch service make this establishment a must-visit.

Amazing place with great food. Would recommend beef steak instead of rumpsteak as the difference in taste is worth it. Also had a boškarin carpaccio which was amazing. The pasta with truffles as well.

I recently had the mixed meal at Restorant Konoba Danijeli, and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, well-presented, and the service was excellent. I loved the variety in the meal, and it's a must-try for anyone who enjoys a great dining experience.

Great service, amazing steak and food in general. Asked for medium rare, got medium rare. Waiters are very caring and check on you regulary, suggest what to eat or drink. We also got a drink on the house, a homemade liquor. Truffles were amazing too. All in all, I recommend.

It was my first visit with the family last night and simply you can't fault the level of service of the restaurant and staff.
Warm welcome, great table and Istrian food selection on the menu. The owner and the staff well organized giving us enough time between the courses.

I am a foodie, with a special love of truffles. We get to eat at a lot of places, and I know many locals in Istria. A that to say that every time I visit Istria we go there.

The food is all prepared the way the family who runs the business used to do it. They make their own pasta, pljukanci and fuži, and this pasta with the truffle or truffle and prosciutto is finger licking good.

One of the most popular meals is fillet mignon beefsteak with pljukanci in the truffle sauce.

Once we ate there after a wedding party and the staff offered us some wedding cakes, free of charge. I could go on and on about the place, and the owner, but trust me, this is one of the best truffle places in Istria, and a lot more!

A great restaurant in small village near Tinjan. The place has an open barbacue, so there's great grilled selection of dishes. We had a delicious carpaccio made of local beef variety (boškarin), then two pasta dishes, one with beef sauce and one with truffles, and to top it off a fiorentina steak. The steak must be oil aged and melted in mouth. A very nice place, that we would visit again if nearby.

The food was sooo good you made my girlfriend cry! Whatever we tried it brought up so many positive emotions. For the cold startes we ordered a bit of everything, except from carpaccio from Boskarin (Istrian ox) which we should've tried! Next time. The plate was just so damn good. All from it just disappeared. Then the main dishes: steak filled with bacon, potatoes and grilled veggies, and ravioli with truffles. We literally ate up until the last piece of everything wanished. The real vacuum cleaners. I would say these were my best meals ever and will definitiely come back!

Best food in Istria. If you want to enjoy authentic istrian spirit, this is right place to be. Excellent pasta and meat, lovely and professional staff. And if I can recommend something, that’d be ravioli with truffles, and all kind of meat.

Absolutely delicious cold meats and cheeses to start . Followed by local pasta with truffle. And the house wine was great too. Fabulous service

We went here based on a recommendation and we weren't disappointed - best food we ate this year without a doubt. We started with Boškarin carpaccio, had some malvazia table wine which was cheap but did not taste cheap and then the main dish and the highlight of our Istrian trip - Biftek with homemade pasta (pljukanci) and truffle sauce. Basically we were recommended to try a steak and the truffle sauce pasta and they have the combo on the menu. The meat was perfectly cooked as we asked for, it was tender, juicy....just magnificent. We will be back! Great job 👌🏼

Found this restaurant as we were cycling and decided to stop for a light lunch. Turned out to be a full on lunch with delicious truffle pasta and salad. Very friendly waiter and good service. Would love to go back again.

Beef with trufffle is the abosult best meal of my life! If you’re going there in winter or summer, always the same quality of food! Great ambient, the waiters are SO NICE! The food is just a dream... comming back for 4-5 years and will do in the nect few for sure!!!

Excellent food, nice staff, prices more than fair.
Portions are quite big, pasta is homemade and steaks were delicious. Carpaccio of Istrian cattle is a must!

We were here for the first time but definitely not last time. Service is friendly and helpful, food ... mmm, well food was really tasty and well prepared. Overall we were satisfied with this late night dining experience and we'll definitely come back.
