💥💥💥 Experience has taught me that, in remote areas such as the Island of Vis, there are restaurants that everyone visits and these, usually, keep a steady quality level.

But those that are 'off the beaten path' have to work much harder to attract visitors and it, very often, shows in a very high level of quality and experience.

Agroturizam Panki is such a place - run by a very small team, with a minimal number of dishes (and drinks), all of which are homemade. Come to think of it, I think only the salt and pepper aren't homemade 🤷‍♂.

The olive oil, the 'rakijas', the wine, the fish - top, top notch 🤤🤤🤤.

If you're thinking where to go here, don't. Call Panki, tell them what you'd like to eat and come by, you'll be super happy!

An authentic experience! We called in the morning to make a reservation. The meal was planned for fish and vegetables on the grill. Once we arrived, beautiful little outside place with the view of the see. They started the fire and grilled the fish and vegetables. It is owned by a very nice family. You want an authentic experience...you have it here!!

Beautiful setting, helpful and friendly owners. We reserved the octupus 'peka' the day before and it was absolutely amazing.

Amazing place. Lamb was one of the best I’ve had in Croatia. The fish was very fresh. Loved meeting Matilda and her husband. They offer a great white wine all produced locally. True gem in Vis.

As the other reviews tell you aswell; this is a must to visit when staying on the Vis Island. Everything is well prepared with the utmost care and love. Fish is derived from a place further away than the island to ensure purity and great quality. Vegetables are simply amazing. 10/10 would recommend!!

Simply delicious grilled fish and vegetables. Very friendly couple. They are open on reservation only, it is a kind of low season now on Vis. Highly recommended.

Very tasty food, we had excellent fish and calamari. The hosts are friendly and the atmosphere is nice. Don’t go there hungry, it takes a while till the food is ready.

It’s one of our favourite restaurants in Vis. We came 3 times and we were delighted every time! Delicious food staring with the grilled lamb, grilled fish and the amazing Peka! The deserts are also super! For wine lovers, you must try the house wine locally produced.

Excellent! Local, fresh food, which was very simple and delicious. We had fish and vegetables. The owners are very kind and welcoming, they opened the restaurant just for us (off season on a holiday). Would 100% recommend, support these small businesses! You need to reserve in advance.

We had the grilled lam and vegetables for two persons and it was absolutely amazing! You could taste that everything was sourced locally with care. The meat was incredibly tender and full of flavor. The grilled vegetables were also juicy and perfectly seasoned. The staff was very friendly. They saw that I had difficulties with mosquitoes and offered a smell solution for it which worked perfectly. Overall definitely recommend this place!!

Home made food and drinks, first class fish, great people. It's a must 😊

Simple but delicious homemade food, fresh,locally sourced ingredients. Grill is prepared in front of you using wood from the surrounding fields. Good house wine from their own vineyards and their own olive oil. Friendly owners, who proudly share lots of information on their beloved island. Go early in your stay and you will enjoy and come back!

As expected after all these nice reviews: felt lucky they could receive us tonight at 20.30, got a bit worried as they started “our” fire only after our arrival but within 90 minutes we were already filled with wonderful fresh grilled fish and vegetables, as discussed/agreed on the phone when made the reservation. Everything was just perfect, one could feel that our food was prepared and served with genuine hospitality….

I can totally recommend this restaurant. Here we had our best fish in croatia. We can also recommend the Peka.

You need to make a reservation one day in advance, all the ingredience will be bought fresh.

Excellent food, very friendly staff. Our recomendation is lamb peka wich was delicious and vegetables. Lamb peka should be pre-ordered. Also, red wine is way better then white. Mixed greens was overpriced. Overall, we would recommend this place for great food.

A family run restaurant, as authentic and honest as it gets. Lovely lamb meat (from the island) and grilled vegetables also grown on the island, topped off with lovely local white wine and homemade grappa. Would certainly come again.

A hidden gem, what it doesn't have in views it makes up for in taste. The best food we have had in Croatia. Woodfire grill, nice location, local wine and food only, and a play area with swing for the kids. What more could you ask for. Prices as everywhere on the island except here you get your money's worth! Cash only!!!

We found the place using airbnb, and I cand say is one of the best places in Croatia where we stayed! The place is amazingly clean, the view on the terrace is amazing and the owners are really helpful and joyful persons!
Highly recommend them!
