Tunarica Sunny Camping

What a relief to find a quiet campsite in the nature with access to the sea! It's a beautiful drive to get to the campsite and the beach in the bay is directly on the campsite. With 2 kids I felt super save on both the campsite grounds and the beach. The staff is friendly and if you are creative you can always find a spot (without reservation, I mean).
We spent here a few days, left to try campsites around Pula and quickly turned around to come back.
This is NOT a paradise for people who want swimming pools, clean facilities, restaurants, events etc!
If you prefer simple, relaxed, nature then a big YES.

Lovely campground, bit far off the busy tourist sites, but located naturally at a bay many campsites, supplied with power and fresh water. Several wash rooms, a restaurant and a mini market. You can rent a boat. Owner was very friendly, speaking German and probably other languages as well. Will be back for my great Balkan road trip.

Perfect camp for relaxing holidays. Everybody was so friendy, from the reception staff, cleaning lady to waitresses at the restaurant. Boss also rent me spoons and knives, cause I forget them at home. Thank you again for that!
Toilets are very clean, new, showers are very big, from freezing to very hot water. Water runs fully. Camp is completely in the shadow, electricity and water spots are all around, so you don't need to go at the "shower/cleaning" house for every small amound of water.
Beach is nice, covered with sand, very good for small childen. Water is nice, it is not so clear as in the islands near by, but is ok, without grass. There's a lot, almost too much of small fishing boats and it could be a little bit danger, if you like to swim far from beach.
At the beach you can rent a boat with 4 to 8 hp motor, small sailboat, sups, kayak and they are very friendly.
Small shop didn't run, but there was a van every morning with fresh bread, fruit and vegetables. First shop is around 10 km away.
I defently come back again. Is one of my best camp for relax and the price is worth for it. I think is a little bit cheaper than camps located near small town to reach by foot.

Such a lovely, peaceful and picturesque place, not overcrowded with people. I have spent quite a chunk of my childhood there and love to come back every time. Tunarica is a true icon.

Excellent quiet camp, green, a lot of shadow from pine trees, suitable for families or anyone who wants a quiet vacation away from crowded beaches and noisy campsites. The small store inside the camp is expensive and open only till 2PM, so I recommend shopping in a city approx.15km away.

Nice camp area, friendly and helpful staff.
Facilities are modern and well maintained.

Unfortunately nice beaches nearby are small or so rocky it's hard to get into the sea, but some can be found short drive or boat ride away.

We loved our time at Tunarica camping. Especially the fact that it was a small camping compare to most campings at Istrie. We hope Valamar won’t explore the place to a huge commercial campsite!!
The camping had a nice atmosphere, lot of shadow, no stress, no noise. It is next to the water where you can rent boats, supboards etc and you can have a massage. The toilets and Showers are ok, don’t expect to much but it is ok and clean. Also the restaurant is ok, don’t expect great things of it (although I loved the greek salad) but it is just fine.
You don’t need more than this. We hope to return here again and we hope that it is quite the same then!!

We enjoyed our stay thanks to all of the staff, great people and our friends. It was really nice to always see all of the smiley faces of the Tunarica staff!

Congratulations to the chief manager, she is just perfect, and we will be very pleased to meat her next year. The staff is very professional too, let them know about this note.

Very civilized camping place. Ideal for kids, has a freezer, wash bays for dishes, showers, free drinking water, wash bay for dogs, plenty of shady spots, the restaurant is excellent and has a small market which sells just about everything including fresh produce!

Very kind employees, and a great location near the sea. Pretty big camping, but still with a small camping feel. Good fascilities, although some have been hinderde by the pandemic.

The situation of the campsite is unbelievable. The beach is private and I never saw this before. The staff is very polite and find a solution to my doubt

Small and lovely camp with clean bathrooms. Camp pitches are mostly hidden under the trees so there is comfortable even in the high temperatures.

Very charming camping with lot of trees, very natural, simple and simpatic. Also service on reception 5 star. For sure I ll be back. More for free and adventure spirit

The best camping site in Istria. Every year, everything gets nicer. The staff is excellent, very courteous and always available to help you.

Good service. But beach is not good for swimming. Had to go to the far beach, which is 15 mins if walk.
