This place is out of this world. Just when we thought we got lost in fields, we catched the road. I reccomend that you first drive to city Ston and then take the drive to Kobas.
The place is worth the experience! Time stands still there. It is quiet, peacefull, nature is so raw and beautiful. Food is fresh, delicious and plentiful. If you don't eat seafood for any reason, order pasta pomodoro. It's fantastic!

Very homey atmosphere, lovely hosts, excellent homemade food, especially octopus salad, oysters and fish plate with tuna, anchovies, etc.
Bring swimming gear as the bay in front of the restaurant is amazing for having a refreshing swim. The road is narrow, but there is enough space to move for passing cars, also very scenic ride.

We stopped here on our drive from Dubrovnik to Split. This is one of our top meals of the trip. The drive to the place is part of the experience on narrow roads and through fields of grapes. This off the beaten path place is the quietest most tranquil place on a small marina. We were pointed out the oyster and mussels caught right off the dock in front of us.

The octopus salad was the best I've ever had. Also you can swim right off the dock in front of the restaurant. Everything was delicious and I will recommend this to anyone I know going to Croatia.

Fantastic fresh seafood. Beautiful location. We were able to sit and work at the restaurant with power for phones and laptops. There is no cellphone signal so the wifi was very handy.
Lukas is a very authentic, family owned restaurant. You can see they work hard and are very proud of the delicious fresh seafood they serve. The wine they recommended to us was very nice and went well with our fresh seafood platter and mussels and clams. The wine was called Cetinka.

I cannot agree with the negative comments that I read here. There was certainly no exploitation of guests perceived as “tourists”. After all, every visitor that ends up here is a tourist.

We had power and water for our boat. Mooring was free, as we had dinner at the restaurant. Power was charged.

A very nice place to spend a couple of hours! The white fish had a wonderful smoky flavour in its crust. This is a seafood place, but our kids loved the steak with fries, which the kitchen had nicely split for us. The service was friendly and our group felt very welcome amongst the patrons. Many people seem to come here by boat, as they facilitate even larger boats, but the place is also accessible by car with a small walk (of 100 meters). If coming by car, follow the asphalt road the end. You can obviously also swim at the piers, here.

The food here is amazing. We had the most delicious fish and the oysters and mussels are pulled straight from the sea out front. The service from Marina was perfect. They were also super helpful getting us moored in with the bora blowing in hard. Definitely check this place out.

This place is magical. No, seriously - it is.

To say that Luka's Taverna is off the beaten path means that you must have travelled by car - it's obviously a favorite for boats to pull in to, but we drove from Ston and through the winding, one-lane roads until we arrived at a nondescript parking lot. We walked along a narrow path until we found the most serene bay with Luka's Taverna Kobaš overlooking it.

We sat down and chatted with the lovely owner (it's been family owned and operated for 30+ years) and decided to order the oysters to start and then 1.5 portions of the mixed shells to share. We knew we were in for a treat when the man we were chatting with went over to the pier and lifted some fresh shellfish right from the bay (friends of ours swear he snorkeled for theirs when his net in the water ran low). What followed was the most delicious seafood I've ever had - and it's not particularly close. The oysters from this area are meaty and were (obviously) outrageously fresh - perfect. The mixed shells, though, took the cake: three different types, in a simple tomato and onion sauce, cooked to perfection, right out of the bay. As a rule, I never go to a place twice while I'm on vacation, but boy is this one testing me. Everything about this place is perfect.

Seriously - Luka's Taverna is magical. If you're reading this, just go - the pictures and my words cannot do it justice.

One of the rare places that me and my family felt like at home.
As a local to have this experience watching Lukas Taverna staff catching oysters mussels lobsters fresh live from baskets in front of restaurant, can't recommend more, genuine cuisine at its Best.

Awsome place!! The food is really fresh and amazing. Definitely try the oysters. Luka, the owner is a great guy. It's hard to arrive by car but once there you can easily spend the whole day. The view and atmosphere is spectacular.

Was at Luka’s Taverna this past week and it was one of the highlights of my trip. Dinner was truly amazing, as was the wine. I highly recommend visiting if you have the chance!

Just wow. The most perfect meal in the most perfect setting. We're not the types to spend a lot of time sitting and dining but we happily sat at this Taverna for almost 3 hours taking it in, enjoying the food and chatting with Luka, the owner.

This is a hidden gem and a must visit. The food was absolutely amazing. Run by Luka and his wife they have live shellfish straight from the sea outside the restaurant on to your plate and the freshest I have ever had. The Oysters, Clams and Mussels and fresh fish are first class. Lovely restaurant run by lovely people with a passion for food we will definitely be back.

This was our first (and best) stop on our cruise. Really good and authentic food. The crew was really great fun and made us feel welcome - Nikša, Admir(al) and Luka. Mooring was free, there are good toilets just behind the restaurant, and they have electricity if needed. Highly recommend!
