Hotel Trakošćan

A very pleasant hotel situated in the beautiful countryside overlooking the beautiful Trakošćan castle. Ideal hotel for cyclists as from the hotel you can go on beautiful cycling trails, either hilly or flatter, also MTB or gravel. Food great, gym would need to add weights and at least one weight machine, pool would also deserve a few repairs. The outdoor bike rack would need resurfacing. Hotel clean, friendly staff, suitable for small children. We will definitely return here for a great fabulous day out.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel, particularly impressed with the kitchen. I would highly recommend opting for the half board, which includes both dinner and breakfast. Additionally, if you're interested, you can take a leisurely 30-minute walk to the castle. Great with kids

What a jewel. It was pleasure to stay here 😍. Sauna has spectacular view. Breakfast and dinner top, plenty of choise. Night walk to the castle … the path to the castle was lighted. Peaceful 🙏🏻 Also friendly to dogs.

We went there for romantic "Valentine days" weekend and couldn't be happier.
Everything was awsame and we will return soon for sure.
*reminder: it is a bit far from stores and gas stations (i think nearest store is in Bednja cca 15-20km away so do your shoping beforehand or explore the area with car / bike*

In one words : UNFORGETTABLE! It’s been a very incredible experience being at this place and everything was more than perfect . The location is great , it located in a very secluded area surrounded by nature and castles . The hotel is very cozy , for an additional price you can have dinner and everything the product they provide are very fresh and genuine . In other words the perfect place to stay if you need to relax and get new energy back from your daily life . I will surely comeback one day .

We stayed for one night on our way to South Croatia. everything in the hotel was ok. it is pet friendly, a large park by the hotel, breakfast and diner are also served on the terrace, a very large selection for breakfast buffet. unfortunately some of the dishes were cold. 2 Porsche Destination Charging chargers in front of the hotel.

Great big hotel in beautiful surrounding nature! Rooms are great size, beds so comfortable and breakfast abundant in choice. Staff is very pleasant and helpful. Hotel is near Trakošćan castle. Would looove to come back again!

Fantastic hotel with beautiful views of the castle. We spent the weekend and loved the food and service. Lots to do in the area.

Very nice hotel on our way to croatia. Its located about 10-15 min drive from highway. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. Whole building lokks like fully renovated. Our romm was new and very clean. The fist time we've had bath instead of shower in cheapest room ;)
From hotel you can see beautifull castle, its available by 15 min walk.
Breakfast was a large selection of dishes.

Fully recomend. Well be back next year.

One of the best hotel experiences in my life. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good location, surrounded by nature with perfect view on the Castle. Beautiful interior design. Room was clean and spacy, great for stay. Clean toilets, all necessary stuff provided such as shower gel, soap, body lotion, slippers, towels… Delicious food and a wide selection, there can even be live music during weekend. Nice wellness with indoor pool, jacuzzi and several saunas (special recommendation: panoramic sauna).

Very pleasant stay, great rooms and a cosy lobby area. Very pleasant staff. Dinner and breakfast were pretty good. The live music on Sat night was very oldfashioned, and there was no massage service on a Sunday in the wellness area - those are my only two complaints.

Location is perfect: 10 minutes walk from the Castle of Trakoscan. Roman are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Whole hotel offers a lot of space and big dinning area. Food was very good and offered as self service-Swedish Table. Staff was very forthcoming. Very well English and German spoken.

The best castle in Croatia!

We just had to stay a few days, because of a car emergency. The staff was extremely helpful and kind to us. The rooms were clean and helped to calm very much. Absolut recommending.

Our stay was very pleasant. The room was spacious and the staff very helpful. I had made a mistake with the age of the children but we were not charged extra anyway. We used the swimming pool and panoramic sauna - a sauna outdoor with a view on the hill and park. It was a pity that 2 dry saunas and the whirlpool were out of order but I can understand that the pandemic lockdowns have affected us all. The surroundings are magnificent with a great view of the castle. There are wonderful walking and jogging paths around the lakes and some cafés. A great place and near an empty border crossing.
Edit 2022 the lake has been drained for some conservation work. Careful - do not walk on the bottom of the former lake - there is 2 m of sludge that can suck you in. In one year time the lake will be back like new (info from reception).

Very friendly staff that does everything for your comfort.
Food is amazing and the hot wine is the best I ever had.
Štrukli are a must try.
The scenery is amazing, especially if you are lucky to have snow cover everything.
The only bad thing are the soft beds, we are used to harder ones, so these overly soft ones made us wake up sore, but that's a personal things
