Cool quiet space whether to read or meet friends, the coffee was fine but not great, nice staff, and good selection of snacks.

Amazing cafe place! However, sometimes they have some presentation that is kinda disturbing or interesting depending on your interests. They don't have much plug to charge the laptop.

Its really good atmosphere. Barista was so kind and friendly. Quiet, cozy, chill and not expensive place. Music it's not that loud. And wifi connection is good. It's really good for studying or reading. Coffee was so delicious. Thank you for everything! I will definitely come back again!

Visited for coffee and a cake, and the atmosphere. We also read that there are often literary events held here (venue has stage, lighting etc at one end of the café).
The main feature is the free reading area (Hungarian language books) with banked casual seating at one end, as well as the small café area with tables and chairs.
Coffee was good, cake ok.
A relaxed, bohemian atmosphere; clientele a mixture of students, tourists and arty types.
Free WiFi.

I've been here before. It's connected to the bookstore on the körút. I bought some books, my phone desperately needed charging so it can last till i get home. I see they're getting ready for some event so i ask about it. Turns out ive found myself at a chinese book clubs event that's going to start soon.
I honestly expected atleast a few seats to remain vacant. But i swear we were huddled in close, and not from the lack of space but from the overwhelming amount of interest ive come to find out.
The book was Kézbesíthetetlen szerelem by Lu Men. (Originally written in chinese).
I learned a lot about the cultural revolution and how it affected everyone who had to live through it. The event its self was held in hungarian and there was also a long video message introducing the book, herself and the process of working with the translaters by the author. She spoke in her own dialect(not sure which). While the video had subtitles, the event didnt have a translator/interpreter.
So since i was quickly becoming wine drunk in this beautiful little adventure ive found myself in i offered to translate to the girl sitting next to me. I think she appreciated it. Even said so. What might've scared her off is me admiting at the end of the event that i am a little tipsy and adding that i think i could've done a better job translating sober.😅but you know. This is just my ramblings.

TLDR, in short: city center prices but yummy stuff, comfy atmosphere, great events, great small eventspace. Had a good time.

Such a cute, beautiful café with great service and good coffee. The inside decoration is very interesting and quite unique and the atmosphere is super chill and great for a quite conversation or some studying. The cakes are great as well and the prices are very reasonable. Definitely will come back!

Quiet cafe and bookshop of publishing house Magveto. It felt like it had a scholarly vibe the moment I walked in — people reading, doing work, maybe discussing about politics or philosophy or journalism or something.

Good coffee; sadly no English titles as far as I could tell.

Yes, other reviews are true for sure - this place is great for working.
I had to spend 5 hours in Budapest being productive and for that this is a perfect place.

Stable internet with a fair system (one hour of connection per order). Nice atmosphere, good coffee, very friendly staff, chilled music... And decent prices.

Very pleasant visit.

Amazing place to study or work! Coffee is cheap and good, atmosphere is calm, music is nice. You can buy books there as well (of you know Hungarian tho haha)
The only problem can be caused by the absence of power sockets, so keep it in mind if you need to charge you stuff in order to work or study

So all in all
Great coffee. Cheap. Atmosphere makes you want to work. Usually not very busy place. Big variety of cakes.
Unique feature - you can also order alcohol here.
Biggest cons - lack of power sockets.
