Varga Tanya Hotel, Conference and Leisure Center

Wonderful ambience and nature, comfortable rooms! Jakuzzi and sauna was a joy on a rainy day! Food and service just great!

We stayed here for three nights during our roadtrip through eastern Europe. The people are very friendly there and I absolutely would recommend this hotel!
The spa area is not very big, but you have the option to book massages, use the whirlpool or the saunas. Varga Tanya also offers horse shows which are free for guests. The landscape is beautiful and you really can relax in the spacious rooms.

The rooms are very nice and comfy, the staff is unbelievably friendly and nice, the atmosphere is superb, and the pools are great even with young children/toddlers.
Almost unbelievable experience I can tell you that..

We loved the long weekend we spent at Varga Tanya. The stuff is incredibly friendly and helpful, the food is great (with vegetarian options). It's the perfect place for a getaway weekend at the end of the world, with numerous ways to spend the day (several jakuzzi, great pools, horseback riding, walking around in the Hungarian countryside, etc...)

Very nice grounds, staff were helpful - fixing a very minor sink issue very quickly. Pool, hot tubs and sauna all clean and well maintained. Food is pretty decent too - standard Hungarian bufe stuff mostly but usually something good; they make veggie options on request.

It's a wonderful, quiet place. There are many trees. It is situated in the middle of the Hungarian Puszta. You can meet there a lot of nice people. The food is excellent. They have a good internet connection.

Varga Tanya is serene and unreal. A little slice of heaven in the Hungarian countryside. Very quaint and cozy, the rooms have been renovated and have great tile floor, and modern bathrooms. The roads to VT are a fun bumpy or dirt ride, but it is the perfect country get away.

There is a shop inside with many wines and other drinks, and some food. Otherwise VT has breakfast included in rate, and offers lunch and dinner for ~7400 HUF/person. All are buffet style, and have a good variety, including vegetarian options. Great traditional Hungarian food, with many spices and sauces. Wines are a great price, and the meals are good - recommended to bring some snacks if you plan to eat outside of the schedule meal hours. Rooms have a small (empty) mini fridge.

There is a large pool and 3-4 hot tubs. Trampoline, ping pong, large chess and some board games. Beyond that, VT offers several activities including archery, horse riding, and massages for reasonable prices. Bring books or games or something to keep you busy late in the evening. They have a huge number of horses (25+) so expect carriages, horse riding, and sleds in winter to be prevalent. While there is a great earthy smell on the drive and in parking lot, there is so much greenery on property - horses aren't even noticed unless you're seeking them out.

There seem to be no AC or fans. The rooms stay 3-5°C/5-10°F cooler inside, but still warm in summer. If you are here for a wedding or event, the location only has 2 irons, so be prepared. Folks at the villa seem to speak German, Hungarian, English, and probably more - otherwise Google translate is your friend. WiFi is solid, and rooms have TV - although you're not here for electronics. You can hear owls and birds, and generally are in perfect silence. Perfectly relaxing

All in, it's an amazing getaway on the Hungarian countryside. Can't recommend it enough, and would definitely return.

Hotel with the most beautiful luxurious rooms I ever seen. Also have a spa, swimming pool, horse riding and a fine restaurant in a beautiful garden.
