I traveled to Budapest with my husband and mother. I did multiple activities through Sweet Travel Private Tours. I worked with Kata Gyevat Dobo for months prior to the trip. She was amazing and organized my entire itinerary for us. She answered every email in a timely manner, planned every detail, and was available on short notice once we were in Hungary.

Our guide was the same for every activity. His name was Stephen (the tall guy). He was OUTSTANDING!!!!! I cannot say enough good things about him. He was kind, attentive to my mother, very smart and knowledgeable about everywhere we visited but also of Hungary in general, funny, warm, and exactly who we would want to spend so much time with. My mother actually considers him family at this point. We were all sad to have said good-bye to him. If ever back in Hungary, I would only do activities if Stephen (the tall guy) was my guide!!

I am so grateful to this team for their help and for making my visit to Hungary with my family so special. It was a very special trip and one that we will all remember forever!!

The City Tour took us across all major historical and cultural monuments of Budapest. It was an unforgettable experience to visit the Buda Castle, Hungarian Parliament Building, Matthias Church, St. Stephen's Basilica, Jewish Quarter, Heroes' Square - just to name a few of the many places we visited. Although we saw so much, at no time did we feel rushed. We really enjoyed and appreciated our guide Denisa, who shared with us Hungarian history, architecture, social structure, religion and cuisine in the course of our tour. We also would like to thank our city tour driver for managing the city traffic to make the trip as convenient as possible for us.

During the following two days we travelled across the countryside. On the first day we travelled via colorful hills and lavender fields to Lake Balaton Tihany-Peninsula, Benedictine Abbey and Herend porcelain manufacturer. The next day we drove along the banks of the Danube and saw various villages, Esztergom Basilica, the Visegrád Castle and city of Esztergom, the former capital. Big thank you to our guide Zoltan (who also drove us). He gave us a great introduction to Hungarian urban life, multinational culture, industry and history. He was very patient and answered our many questions. We really enjoyed spending time with Zoltan and learning from him.

We had an awesome day touring around the Budapest with Gabor or Gab. He was very pleasant and informative. We think of him as very professional. It was a superb experience to have travelled this far to Budapest and get to have historical information about the city. He showed us most of the wonderful nook and cranny part of Buda and Pest which some of the tourist might failed to do if they only rely on blogs or other social platforms. Gab had showcased what the city had preserved, the very rich culture and what it can offer to tourist like us, for example the best food which local Hungarians eat in their day to day life.
