Madal Cafe

I stopped by Madal Cafe in Budapest for a coffee and enjoyed the experience. The coffee was great — rich and full-bodied, just what you need to start your day or get a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. The cafe boasts a nice ambience, with a cozy and welcoming interior that invites you to relax. The service was okay; it met the needs without going above and beyond, but the quality of the coffee and the pleasant surroundings more than made up for it. A good spot for coffee lovers in the city.

Solid coffee at a great price. You'll find the interior is somewhat spacious and split on two levels. The upstairs area has a free restroom and most of the seating. The hot chocolate is good and tastes like proper chocolate went into making it. This is also a great place to study or read as it's just quiet enough.

Came here everyday during our trip - wonderful, cosy place. Banana bread is unreal! Cheaper than most coffee places with a lot of choice. Staff and service great, one time our order got mixed up and they gave us two free drinks to compensate, it was very thoughtful. 100% would recommend.

As an out of the blue moment of needing something hot to warm ourselves up, we stumbled across this place... It's nostalgic, everything looks like it is stuck in time and it's even better to have a break from the modern world. The prices are reasonable and the showcase is just wonderful.
I definitely recommend and will go back to this place! 👏🏻

Very good specialty coffee place in Budapest. You will see the long queue of coffee lovers in front of the counter. Be patient), your coffee will be served in 10-15 minutes, but it is definitely worth waiting for )

Amazing service and coffee. It feels like a true local coffee shop with plenty of brewing methods including v60. I purchased a bag of beans for my AirBnB which tasted amazing.

Really enjoyed hanging out here. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, outdoor seating, and in a great location. Strong Wi-Fi signal if you need to get some work/studying done. Can’t beat it.

Located near Ferenciek tere or a 7 minute walk from Astoria M. Studied here with a few friends, proved to be a busy establishment with a high turnover rate. Tables with outlets are located upstairs, and limited but it’s clear that many people come here to do work. Free water and Wi-Fi available. Ordered a pumpkin spice latte which was on the sweet side but still good. Range of vegan and gluten-free baked goods available. Would come back to study again.

Ordered Ice choco latte and it tasted good! Super friendly staffs. Cosy atmosphere. I wanted to try their cheesecake but it wasn’t available that time..

Great coffee and vegan desserts. We came here three times during our stay in Budapest and would have their coffee and vegan croissant every morning. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick and good breakfast place in Budapest.

One of my favourite coffee shop in Budapest. Matcha latte is necessary and a must thing to try. The service was not really in a rush but it was still bearable to wait. The cakes was absolutely amazing especially their carrot cake. It is mandatory to taste. Overall, I highly recommend this place when you want to have chit chat with friend or just want to find tranquility over the coffee and tea.

Good coffee bar near Vaci Utca. Large selection of coffees and teas to choose from. You sit both downstairs or upstairs around the open space above the bar or on the terrace outside. Americano was good.

Cappuccino is amazing, full flavor with oat milk. It's a bit crowded, it's def worth it, price is decent.

The matcha latte is delicious, the staff is very friendly, highly recommended.

Another one of the top cafés in Budapest. This branch has such a nice vibe with seating on the gallery looking down.
Super delicious coffee with plant based milk options, delicious and healthy cakes (raw, GF etc.) Serves decaff coffee too. They also sell bread and some sandwiches.
You can also buy coffee and Sri Chinmoy books about meditation ♡

Awesome place to hang out with friends or relax after exploring Budapest. One of the best quality coffees in town and amazing cakes - I recommend the cheesecake. They have free wifi and you can easily spend a few hours with your laptop here. A great place
