A mai műemlék barokk templomot Balassa Pál kegyúr építtette 1740-46 között. A templom hossza 27 méter, szélessége 12 méter, belső magassága 14 méter. 1759-ben Révay Antal püspök szentelte fel. A templom egyhajós, nem keletelt, kissé előreugró homlokzati toronnyal.

Igen szép és gondozott a templomkert, értékes szakrális szobrokkal. Ezek különlegesek, de az új szobor - Szent II. János Pál pápa szobra - nekem nem tetszik, nem tükrözi az ábrázolt egyéniségét.
