Huge hardware and home furnishings store, akin to The Home Depot or Lowe's in the U.S., if you're familiar with those. Pretty much anything you can think of related to home repair is here. Roughly a five-minute walk north from the Pillangó Utca stop on the M2. As with many places in town, try to use correct change, if possible. They can be sticklers for it here. They do accept Euros, too.

Amazing experience! One of the workers even removed some plastic I accidentally melted from a metal piece I brought to the store (not sure how to call it). Very friendly staff!! :) Will be coming here instead of Ikea whenever possible

A great place for pretty much everything. Their gardening centre is fantastic, also good for all of your cottage needs. We picked up a Karcher steam cleaner and it works perfectly. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we highly recommend this Obi.

Big shop with long hours, and fairly helpful staff, but they didn't have what I wanted. I went for a 4-5 liters of white interior wall paint of a certain brand. They had about 20 brands of white interior wall paint, including the one I wanted, but they only had 10 liter cans of it. Anyway, they had some and it was reasonably priced, so I won't complain. :)

Not easy service for English speakers. Would be good for obi to do some training. Everyone seemed impossible to understand the word toy-let-ta

Obi has various products needed for house/ home and garden maintenance, plus light bulbs, screws, cartons different sizes, duct tapes, bubble wraps and much more, really handy if you are moving out this is the place to go.

You can get anything that you want for a simple upgrade, or repair of your home, even on Sundays. I don't really have problems with quality, but I've heard bad stories.

My favourite diy store, they have literally everything you may need plus a huge gardening section.

Had to buy earth and pots for flowers. IKEA suddenly doesn't deal with it enough, so I came here.
