Really good place to find interesting books (mostly Indonesian, also some in English). The place together with the cafe also offers great place to just chill and read, or meet with friends. Plus point is that the shopkeepers are very friendly and helpful in finding books you might like.

Baru kesini sekali but I can definitely say this is one of local bookstore that I’d recommend to my friends! Koleksinya oke2 dan the owner’s very interactive, helpful and passionate about books. Lokasinya strategis di Tamansari, jadi satu sama Arka Coffee and Space. With the combo of strategic place, great collection, and humble shop-owners, i believe this place will gain more exposure in the future. Panjang umur Bawa Buku!

Almost every day I stop by this indie bookstore. It's not just about the interesting collection of books, but the people there are very friendly and inclusive. Also, Bawabuku one place with Arka Coffee and Space.

I gotta say, (for me) Bawabuku or Arka aren't only a bookstore and cafe but safe space for everyone. I love you, Bawabuku and Arka!

I can mention all of the nice things BawaBuku can provide: tiny but well curated selection of books; helpful bookkeepers; and the upmost excellence this store provide is accessible library for all🤍 my go-to place whenever I feel like to!

You can find many indie and interesting book on this store. Much better than gramedia and also they giving a fair price for the books.

Since this place are inside of the coffee shop, you can bring ur own books and reading in comfy way on this place.

Also this place are near alun-alun or next to water castle(jogja tourist site)!! So after u bored with ur book you can walk around the tourist site.

Curated bookstore with indie published books. They have a cafe too, heaven made duo. They have an amazing staff, too bad I forgot his name. He recommended a lot of books based on our interest. He is super kind and full of knowledge!

This is the place to go if you're looking for books on gender, politics and culture. Ainun takes care of this bookstore lovingly so that I have a pleasant experience every time I shop here.

The shop might be small, but the books are very well curated by the owner. They provide seatings for you to hang out, and the shop layout is even pleasing on the eye. If you're in luck, you might meet the humble owner herself and she would help you pick out the perfect book for you. You don't have to worry about feeling hungry or thirsty, because the book store is located inside Arka Coffee & Space area. I would definitely come back here.

Great ambience, great location (inside the Kraton, and amongst a delicious local cafe called Arka), with great accessibility and an inclusive vibe. They have a thorough selection of books (mostly in Bahasa Indonesia, but also some in English) on social issues, novels and anthropology/history. The staff are super helpful and great for a chat- I love visiting!

Really nice place to visit. You can ask the owner and other book keeper for a recommendation. It’s also next to a coffeeshop, so buy first and read then type of place. Recommended for all you book hunters 👌

bawabuku tempat yang oke banget buat kalian pecinta buku, disini juga menyediakan perpustakaan untuk kalian membaca buku ada indoor dan outdoor nya juga . staff nya juga sangat ramah dan bisa bgt diajak diskusi

Lumayan comfy kalau mau ngadem di indoor nya. Terus ada banyak pilihan buku yang bisa dibaca atau bahkan dibeli. Kalau weekend ke sini agak rame karena dekat lokasi pariwisata. Worth it sih kalau mau menikmati suasana perbukuan sambil ngopi

Bawabuku adalaha salah satu toko buku indie yang menawarkan berbagai buku dari banyak jenisnya: sejarah, cerita rakyat, pemikiran, dan lain-lain. Letaknya di dalam komplek wisata Taman Sari. sebelum masuk ke Taman Sari Toko Bawabuku terletak di sebelah kanan setelah pintu masuk. Bersebelahan dengan Kafe. Bukunya ada banyak dan bisa beli secara online. Karena bersebelahan dengan Kafe jadi ngopi bisa sambil baca buku. Ada sedikit buku yang ditawarkan untuk dibaca di tempat.

Ada banyak meja yang disediakan. Rata-rata di out door. Kursi dan mejanya juga nyaman. Kalau mau nyari buku sambil ngopi dan nyantai setelah dari Taman Sari bisa mampir di toko Bawabuku. Penjaganya juga ramah. Setiap pengunjung toko Bawabuku yang datang diberikan penjelasan dan penawaran berbagai macam buku yang dijual. Tempatnya enak buat nyantai. Di toko Bawabuku juga menyediakan tempat parkir bagi pengunjung yang membawa motor. Bagi pengunjung yang bawa mobil, parkirnya juga tersedia di dalam komplek Taman Sari. Menunya ga terlalu banyak. Kopi, Crafello, jus, roti, dan lain-lain. Tempatnya ga begitu luas tapi nyaman banget.
