Berdikari Book and Coffee (Rumah Berdikari)

The bookstore is located around the students shared-house in Condongcatur area. As a person who loves alternatives readings, Berdikari is such a heaven. Most of the book titles are dedicated to oppose the mainstream views, developing the critical mindset of those who are attracted to join the movement. Despite the original concept is an offline boosktore, the existence of the library altogether with small coffee shop, makes this place more complete to spend time reading (and discussing). I highly recommend Berdikari to anyone who are looking for 'woke' books, though the process of buying books "forcing" the customer to sign in to the Berdikari apps (this is quite inconvenient).

A bookstore, library, and coffee shop in a place

This place is not big, i think it is a house that turned into a bookstore (also library and coffee shop). There are some rooms, one is for the library (or reading room), the main room at the middle for the bookstore, one room at back-right is another bookstore, and one room behind for the staff. The coffeeshop is in the middle (by the way its coffee is nice), in the main room, together with the bookstore. As a bookworm i just felt cosy to be there. By the way, footwear is not allowed inside, but do not worry, every inch of the ground had been covered to keep your feet from the coldness of the floor and to keep you feel comfortable.

Next, is about books collection. To me, (book) titles available there is rarely found in other mainstream bookstore. I found Republic by Cicero, some novels from Albert Camus, The Prince by Niccolo Machiavelli, even kids story book from Hans Cristian Andersen, Aesop, Carles Perault, etc. Also there are literatures from local, like those writen by Soekarno, Hatta, Tan Malaka, and others.

it's quite a popular place for people who love about the book. that's was my first time visiting this book store and I was falling in love at the first sight. I like about their collection, room management and of course the service. everyone who visits this place is usually offered a cup of coffee or tea and it's free! totally recommended! 😍👍

The greatest concept of bookstore and library. You can read some books here freely during you drink a cup of tea or coffee. If you wish to buy the books, just go to another side of the building, and find the bookstore here. Some books title were sold on discount price.
But, keep in mind that the bookstore do not sell low quality books. So, if you are a university student, it is the best place to be chosen for hangout.

This place has good collection of books with its variety of genres. The atmosphere is full of ambient, and while you're reading you also can order your coffee and snacks beside this bookstore. Worth to visit! 💯

This place is an offline bookstore from Berdikaribook. The books provided are neatly arranged and varied, such as literature books, philosophy books, and practical science books. In addition to a bookstore, this place has a small literacy cafe that can be used to read a book or discuss while enjoying the dishes provided. In terms of service, this bookstore is unique. They use the word "Bung" to call every customer who comes.
