Bat Cave Bukit Lawang

The cave is really very beautiful, high in places, and with the outside light it is very beautiful. Access to the 3rd room doesn't require any particular experience, but bring a headlamp and closed shoes.

The price is 100,000 rupees per person with a guide, otherwise it's 25,000 rupees without a guide. Make sure you don't fall for the rhetoric at the entrance to the cave. There's no need to take a guide.

You'll see lots of bats, toads, grasshoppers, spiders...

Really interesting place! We discovered the cave with one of the guides who organise the entrance. He was really helpful and had a big passion for the place. We really recommend to take the time to go inside with a guide and discover all three rooms, see different insects and bats. Maybe wear good shoes as it can be slippery.

Worth to visit, ive visited this cave for the 3rd times and it still mesmerized me. this cave got 3 section with total almost 1km long and almost 50m deep down.

To reach this cave you should trekking for almost an hour and must be guided by the local guide. the entrance of this cave quite challenging and such a difficult terrain.

Inside, when in rainy season, the floor of the cave becomes flooded with water up to the heel/ankle. the are variety of tarantula lived in the cave wall and ofcourse a group of bat hanging on the cave ceiling

Nice cave, worth going into, if you are in BL. Will take you around 30-45 minutes to see it all. There are nice guides next to the cave and you pay them as much as you want. I gave him 25000 IDR. Try to go early, not later than 10 a. m, so you can avoid other tourist and have much better experience. You will see bats, sparrows,snakes, fish and frogs. Take a torch with you(i recommend head torch) or you will get one for free from guides. Have fun.

I went there three years ago with my family. During my stay at Langkawye I took the day long boat tour. During mangrove forest tour one place was bat cave. Where I found so many bats. Very ferocious place for kids. Also be careful during your visits s as with a small sound making bats can fly away V and attack people. So be careful.

Adventure and wonder combined. Not for the weak hearted. This a true caving experience with some great viewings of cave creatures and bats!

Nice cave with many different (some are poisonous) animals like scorpions and centipedes. But dont worrie they are hiding well. The Guides will show you everything. Its included in the 25k entry.

Get a guide from the village. It's cheap and you get a nice tour with commentary. Plus you will support local community. Count 2-3 hours round-trip. Bring torch.
