Tranquil Resort

Staff were extremely hospitable and well-behaved. The rooms were neat and clean. Their restaurant offers a wide variety of cuisines. Perfect place to stay for a family holiday in Wayanad.

Very welcoming staff
Good food (especially the kerala discovery menu on banana leaf)
Tree villa was very nice, although there was a few cockroaches to take care of (guess it is normal in the middle of the jungle!)
Be advised: the is a few land leech. Kids didn’t like it at all!

Location: tucked away inside a well maintained coffee plantation
People: managed by Ajay & Nisha with a lot of personal touch, manned by Swamy and a great team who shows genuine interest in managing our needs
Food: good food prepared daily and served on time.
Activities: many trails to walk and absorb the view, birds of many colors on the trees chirping all around us
Room: a nice room with proper hot shower, bathroom amenities, coffee making facilities and good WiFi.
Dogs: among the laziest you can find but so adorable!!

On the whole, we felt at home and the serenity of the place was memorable. Our experience says "if in Wayanad again, this will be my place of stay"!

Absolutely a fantastic resort situated amid a lush coffee plantation. Amazing scenes. Wonderful hospitality by Ajay, Nisha and Swamy. Treehouse party room is a true delight.

Amazing place loved it. The food is great, the place overall with its various trekking trails from easy to the brave heart! It was real fun and the view from the Cliff was amazing! Loved their attention to detail in the rooms and in the restaurant. It was tranquil! And to relax further you have the furry friends Duke, Sugar and Dynamite! Loved it and i will back soon.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Tranquil Resort, and I must say that it was a truly wonderful experience. One of the best Resort Stays. It’s very difficult to call it a Resort, as we were made to feel at home throughout our stay.

The 400-acre estate, colonial décor, tree houses, trekking trails through the plantation, sumptuous food and great hospitality made the holiday super memorable for us.

Ajay is a great host and all the staff are very courteous and ready to listen to you and do the needful.

Definitely coming back here.

We stayed at the Tranquil Resort in October of 2022, and it was hands down the best vacation of our life. We were there at a time that was just before the peak season started and had the entire resort to ourselves. The service was impeccable.
Inspite of being the only guests in the resort, the menu was elaborate for every single meal. The staff was warm and Courteous, and the experience was delightful.
It was our first time at an estate resort, and we loved every bit of it. We are looking forward to coming back every year.

Strongly recommended for an awesome tranquil holiday

The hospitality of this place is beyond comparison. The host is very friendly and helpful. The staff makes sure that your stay is as comfortable as it should get. They help you out with planning your day and itinerary in Wayanad, the chef cooks amazing food and everyone at the property is at your disposal. The property is situated in coffee plantation and along with the basic amenities and activities, they have various trek routes that you can explore in the mornings or evenings. They have maintained enormous variety of plants that adorn the place and a huge variety of birds can be spotted as well.
Overall, one should visit this place to relax, feel closer to nature and spend a good time with family.

Where and how do I even start to describe how amazing Tranquil is!
I guess is should start from the beginning...once you enter the gate you find yourself driving through a coffee plantation and it is 1.3 kms before you reach the main house.
We were greeted by the owner, Ajay and received a very warm welcome.
We were escorted to the room, which was the chairman's suite and it did not disappoint!
The room was massive and the wooden floors and wooden beams in the ceiling gave it a warm and cozy feel. The sheer size of the room is hard to explain, but to give you a basic idea...it had to fully functional bathrooms!!! The view from the room was the plantation and the pool.
I was given a tour of one of their two Tree House rooms and I definitely should have chosen this one. About 10 meters off the ground and built in to the slope, this room commands a view that is superlative! Your bed looks out past the deck in to the hills and trees, you can hear a stream close by. Another 2 fully functional bathrooms are in the room, and one of which has a tree running through it and they tell me that the other tree house has a tree running through the bedroom. I just love the fact that they built around nature!
Now the food. Our package included all meals and I'm rather glad of it. The cuisine felt like it came from a grandmother's kitchen. Wholesome, hearty, delicious and plenty of it! The end of each meal kept us longing for the next one.
For those of you interest in a bit of strenuous activity, apart from the gorgeous pool, they offer 4 hikes that you can do, varying in their difficulty, the longest being about 2.5 hours. The best part is that all the hikes are within the confines of the property!
I enjoyed the peace and quiet and spent a considerable amount of time just sitting and listening to the sounds of the birds and the wind in the trees.
They have 3 dogs that are as adorable as they are cute.
On our last night there, we were treated to an incredible experience. On the deck above the bar, they set up a table and a private buffet and that just blew my mind. It was incredibly thoughtful and was done in such secrecy, that even though we walked past the are, we failed to notice the set up until we were escorted up there.
Overall, the ambience, the setting, the room, the food and above all, the people made it a truly memorable stay. One that will be cherished forever.
This humble blogger shall indeed return and hopefully at the earliest.

Excellent place to stay. What a warm welcome by everyone. The rooms, the spread of food, the people everyrhing was commendable. Appreciate their efforts to make people get comfortable so easily. An absolutely stunning cocoon to discover for a change of scenery, a gateway in the mountains or a peaceful time to recharge.
The location is spectacular. In the middle of the nature you can enjoy the sound of the wild day and night. The treehouses are wonderful and I highly recommend them!

The rooms are also very lovely. The bathroom are great and extremely comfortable! Beds are good quality to ensure a good sleep.
I stayed in both style of rooms and enjoyed them both. Tea, coffee, drinkable water and biscuits available in every room.

The managers Ajay and Nisha are very lovely people and they go out their way to help and accomodate you. They helped me with my questions, and for all the things I could need.

Mr Swamy in charge of all daily operations is extremely kind, does everything possible to ensure you get a magnificent stay! Always here to help and assist, he has helped me a lot to get things sorted.

The food is delightful, you can enjoy a buffet for every meal (you can choose your meal plan). I would suggest you talk with the team to make your choices (buffet or menu) and also decide your preferred meal time. The set up was changed every night to make it exciting to find out the next day. Around 5pm they serve an afternoon break, everyday different and always delicious !

The pool is super nice, I haven't been able to get into but my friend did and he enjoyed it very much!

Bring your walking shoes there are trails inside the property  to get some fresh air!

Maybe there is a way to improve the walking signs, to make it clearer to understand. Apart from that, keep it going!

I have been going to Tranquil with my family every year for about 8 years now. Tranquil is an incomparable experience in every way. Yes it is home stay experience inside an estate but it is something more than that clearly. Taking about the spot itself, it’s nestled deep inside the dense kuppamudi estate that gives you a wildlife resort experience. The estate has a bunch of walking trails which makes the nature experience totally worth it. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The staff is helpful and super friendly. They have a pool which is perfect in summer weather. The property has private areas for small groups to enjoy in their own privacy. The food is delicious with a mix of homely, local and special dishes. The tree houses are definitely an experience one should not miss. The views are fantastic and the creaking floors make it all the more exciting. But the cherry on the cake are the hosts themselves. Ajay and Nisha are warm and put you at ease the moment you meet them. You feel like a house guest from the moment you arrive thanks to their wonderful personalities. Not to mention the friendly dogs who become your holiday companions from the moment you arrive. Tranquil is a great pick for couples, families and small groups. The name says it all.
