Such a magnificent and interesting 350 year-old house, in a peaceful and beautiful rural setting. The facilities were excellent and the food was superb. The owner, whose family had lived there for 5 generations, was a most delightful and welcoming host, full of fascinating information about the house, the local area, Kerala and India in general. It was the highlight of our holiday.

I am speechless about this marvellous place. We were a group of 12 family members and stayed there for two days. We had a lot of fun there!, comfortable stay, homely food, singing, fishing, cooking, drinking and a lot more!!! This place will stay in our hearts for ever. The helpers Santha, Chandrika and Rajesh were very friendly and humble. To top it all, Mr Bhagawaldas is way too friendly and generous. Thank you so much!!!! – Sujith Shankar, Kochi.

Home away from home. The place was really beautiful and an antique piece... Everything was arranged well and everything was systematically arranged from food to basic needs.... Fishing was allowed , we could barbeque the fish we caught ... All together it was an amazing experience in God's own country

The only tourist spot in Thenkurussi, Kandath Tharavad is a place with a lot of history. Kandath family was once one of the wealthiest families in palakkad and this is one of the remains of their former glory.
It is stunning destination for various occasions. There is a newly constructed pond nearby to get some 'nadan' style bath.
