Kadarmandalgi Kanteshaswami (Hanuman) Temple

Around 500 year old Hanuman temple, it's beleive that during Ramayana period, lord Hanuman was going to take sanjivni booti, lord Hanuman taken rest. It is believed that every night lord Hanuman goes on walk, every year a New pair of kolhapuri sandel is given in temple, the temple has one pushkarni lake, it's very clean, people are not allowed to go in it. Hygiene well maintained inside the temple, no one is allowed in pushkarni lake, so it is clean

It is the Holy place for Hindus,it is the main Hanuman temple in karnataka. The authorities are good,But has to provide bathroom facilities in Temple lodging Rooms

This temple is near to Haveri dist. Very old temple. For accommodation temple rooms r der but during Saturday n festival time more people vill visit this temple. coming to food, every day afternoon der is ANNAPRASADAM arranged by temple. Der is no such big canteen or restaurants r available near this temple. Some shops r der for local food.

HISTORY OF THE PLACE AND TEMPLES

After the fall of the Vijayanagar Empire, Adilshahies took the power in the Northern part of Karnataka. Santebennur Kengappa Nayaka was under the province of Chandragutti. Kangappa Nayaka after worshipping Sri Hanuman of Kadarmandalagi was completely cured of his disease. Then he donated the village to the God, Kantesha. The inscription in front of the temple explains the generosity of Kengappa Nayaka. (It is also told that King Janamejaya set up the temple to get rid of his difficulties).

During the period of Aurangzeb, Kadaramandalagi came under the rule of Savanur Nawab and Suhedar of Savanur gave lamps and decoration to the temple. Many rich patrons like Khanderaya of Savanur, Desai of Hanagal, Hanumanth Gowda of Havanur gave a lot of items of worships to the Temple being impressed by the ardent devotion of Sri Hire Acharya.

During the British rule, the gifts and lands of the Temple were taken back. But faith and devotion of Sri Shesha Krishna Mamaledar made him set up a committee for proper administration of the Temple.

The devotees come not only from the neighbouring districts but also from neighbouring States like Maharashtra, Telangana and Andra Pradesh from all castes and tribes.

Temple is good. Cleaning is required for regular bases. Lunch is served afternoon was good. Again cleaning is not in dining hall. Parking space is not much bigger.

Kadarmandalagi Kantesha is a best place for devotees. Its one of the place where people visit on adhika maasa out of other 2 brantesha and shantesha.

Divine place and even famous for its legacy after visiting to kantesha temple one should definitely visit a lord venkateshwara temple which Is small and in private owned field which comes beside kadarmandalgi ranebennur road....... Must visit temple as legends say its udbhava murthy

This is one of the famous Hanuman temple of Karnataka... People believe that here their wish come true.. very Nice temple..

Unlike other Hanuman temples here the idol is is a front facing one. Visiting hanuman temple itself is a joy.

Updated the environment clean, need to update parking space, not allowing in the existing parking location, then need to provide parking space near temple

I loved the temple. As it's Hindu's worshipped god and my favourite too. Luckily I get nice and quick darshan on the Saturday which feels happy
