Rooms were nice and tidy. What make this place so good is it's service and location. First come to its location it is almost at the top of the hill where you gets best view of snow covered mountains specially in the morning. Service and food was quite good out there. Service was quite responsive all the time. Food too was quite good. Last word if one want to stay in Kalpa it will be best place for you.

The service is quite nice with modern rooms and good food. The hotel offers a fantastic view of the great kailash range and kinnaur kailash. The sunrise can be even seen from the rooms. Great budget place to stay?

Awesome stay experience in the mud house in the mid of the apple orchard. The magnanimous view of Kinnaur Kailash is breathtaking, the mud houses are very nicely built. The hospitality is par excellence. The owner himself is a great guy, treats you as his own guest.

We are at The Monk right now and it is an absolutely beautiful place. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The food is fresh and yummy! Mr Rawat (the caretaker) gives the best services and pampers you to the max. If you are coming this side, you absolutely have to stay here and listen to mr Rawat’s delightful stories. He loves looking after guest and goes out on a limb to satisfy every whim! We are definitely coming here again.

Very nice place, near and clean. Very warm welcome by the staffs. We stayed with family for one night. The food was awesome a special thanks to rhawat. People took care for children very nicely. They showed us Kinnaur kailash shiva lingam thru binoculars very clear view. But one thing keep in mind book cottage or tent with monk and all the reviews provided for monk cottage and tent. Not for the room which are located at different location

Amazing Stay. Good food. Excellent Service. We visited Kinnaur Kalpa in first week of June, 2019. We stayed in the Cottage situated at the apple orchards. The position is great. View is amazing from the lawn. The Staff Rawat is all in all and the most responsible and extremely courteous. There are tents too, but cottages are better furnished. There is buffer t dinner at bonfire every night. Food is homely. Mr. Mukesh is in management and met us to get our feedback. The place is extremely well decorated in the lap of nature with environment friendly and recycled items. We would like to visit the place again.

The Monk is an excellent choice for accommodation in tranquil Kalpa. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to enhance your trip and ensure that you have a comfortable stay. Jay was particularly welcoming, he is a very good cook!

The hotel has a beautiful view of the valley and the himalayas. Very helpful and friendly staff. They serve homely food. Overall a good budget hotel. The Monk has cottages and tents about 2kms away from the hotel. The luxurious cottages and tents at the heart of nature are a must stay for adventure lovers. Great food cooked by a very hospitable staff. An unique experience altogether. A must-stay place if you are visiting kalpa

Monk hotel is good for a basic stay. View is amazing from the rooms. It is located at the top most location so the view is grand and clear. Food is amazingly good. There is a restaurant at the lobby.

Excellent location ... Excellent behavior of the service boy ( Jay) .... He is extremely dependable & helpful and has good knowledge of the area. The owner of hotel ( Mukeshji) is also very cordial in nature ... Over all a very satisfying stay in Kalpa ... It's my wish to come again ...

This place is great. I travelled solo to kalpa and really liked the hospitality of the people here. The owner is a very generous person and the cook makes delicious food.

Located at the most spectacular location, Monk camps are definitely worth staying while in Kalpa. Camps are pitched in the whilst of nature. You can witness amazing sunrise. Food is amazing, stay is comfortable, staff is hospitable. Amazing vibes and more of an amazing time.
