Beautiful hotel in the heart of Fort Kochi. We stayed for 4 nights and it was the stand out of all the places we stayed in India. The staff were warm and helpful. The garden is very special and we loved that the hotel had a few pets as well.

We had breakfast here and they were very kind to put on some vegan options - although they didn’t want to include these options on the menu. Who knows why? Anyways, beautiful garden with birds chirruping included free of charge. Excellent service - they truly went out of their way to make annoying customers happy, forgoing their standard policy of not serving food outside, to ensure we had the very finest user experience.

Just ate here and were very pleased we did. The seafood platter was the best we had in Kerala. Wine by the glass.

One of our favourite evenings in Fort Kochi, a beautiful hotel with Beautiful lush gardens and even gorgeous little hotel pets who we loved hanging out with.

Amazingly located in walking distance of almost everything we wanted to visit.

Dinner was delicious with brilliant soft drinks I really recommend the passionfruit lemonade and pumpkin and lentil curry.

Live local classical music was playing and the restaurant was busy and bustling with great service

This is a fantastic place to stay. It offered an ideal base to explore Kochi and beyond from, but was also great for unwinding. The walled garden and pool offer an escape from the bustle outside. Sukesh and his team are extremely helpful and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Overall there's a lovely homely atmosphere, accentuated by very chilled pet dogs Happy and Gavaskar (yes, named after Sunil!) and the two cats. The real star though is the food. Chef is very approachable and everything that we chose over our 4 nights was absolutely delicious, be it a lunch wrap, European cuisine or the stunning Keralan curries. Do not miss the fish curry or the coconut shrimp cashew curry if that's your thing. The menu is so varied that every palate will be catered for though. Congratulations and many thanks to Sukesh, chef and all of the staff for giving us a fantastic stay. We hope to return one day.

I only stayed at Old Harbour Hotel for one night but had a really delightful experience! The staff were so friendly and they went above and beyond with their service. The hotel is a 335 year old former mansion and the rooms retain the grandeur of the time while tastefully incorporating modern touches. The room was very spacious and we had a lovely private garden with fountain. The shower pressure was nice. The AC worked well. Because it’s in the harbor, nature is present in and around the hotel. They have sweet hotel dogs and a cat. We had dinner at the hotel and loved the fresh veggies they offer as well as their perfectly spiced and portioned seafood biriyani. They offer a delicious Indian breakfast or an assortment of continental options. The dosas were light and crisp and the coffee was delicious. One of the highlights for me was the garden and pool illuminated by hanging lights while live Indian music was played during dinner. The hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Fort Kochi.

Without doubt the best place to stay in Fort Kochi and possibly in my top 10 hotels in the world. Everything from the decor to the hospitality as well as the delicious food makes this an extraordinary place to stay. Jude and his team are like one big family who welcome you as one of their own. Look no further and just book this hotel. You wont regret it!!!

We stayed at Old Harbour for 9 days and I have to say, I really felt at home there. It's feels like less of a hotel and more of a big house with a lot of home comforts (including their sweet pets!).

All the staff are wonderful, the rooms were clean and spacious, the food was amazing (especially breakfast and the Tuna) and the overall ambience was very relaxed. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

At the heart of ancient Fort Cochin, Kerala, a place that exudes history and culture, is the 'Old Harbour Hotel'. A 300-year-old building that has for long been a heritage monument of this town, now reopened as a boutique hotel.

Built in the Dutch style of architecture with hints of Portuguese influences, it was the first hotel of old Cochin. Later it remained a residential home to employees.

Food has always been an important criterion for us. At the restaurant, we ensure that only the freshest of foods are offered at all times. Homemade breads and plenty of freshly squeezed juices are a priority here. Only organically grown vegetables are used, while the meats are of the highest quality available. As the hotel rests close to the fishing nets, we believe guests would want to enjoy a variety of seafood. For this, there is a special seafood menu every night in the garden. The chef has also painstakingly conjured up an array of dishes to suit various taste palates.

The interiors of the hotel, designed and decorated by Karl Damschen, is an eclectic blend of dated furniture and varied art that juxtapose to create a unique style. Thirteen spacious rooms, each of them named after the various old streets of Fort Cochin, are plush with high ceilings and either look into a courtyard with a fountain or over the ancient Chinese Fishing nets. Special garden cottages, which were added to offer a feel of Kerala, have open-to-the-sky showers, a veranda, and a private pond. There is also a large garden with a swimming pool as well as a stage for cultural performances, all of it set amidst plenty of natural green. For the comfort of guests, there is an Ayurvedic spa and a large open-air terrace. It is aware that guests are special and to ensure this, care has been paid to organic soaps and lotions in the bathrooms, comfortable robes and slippers, as well as plenty of bottled water.

Complimentary facilities: Free Wifi, Yoga session, Tea and Coffee maker, Two bottles of Mineral water. Dental and toilet amenity kits.

When the chance upon this charming structure with its fine lines of architecture and immense grandeur, the belief is that its revival would allow one to re-live a glorious past. This led to the restoration of what was known as the Old Harbour House into a hotel of style and leisure, keeping the original façade and architectural elements intact, to bring alive the old hotel of previous sea-farers. The architect Karl Damschen, a specialist in the restoration of ancient buildings, has paid close attention to every minute detail, making sure of the preservation of the building and its natural surroundings. However, to ensure guests a comfortable stay, there has also been adherence to all modern amenities.

Great rooms with comfortable & large beds. The building and it's renovation are beautiful and is very well maintained. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is good being on the end of the peninsula in the old town. I'd recommend this place to others.
