Mahamaya temple is situated in Ambika pur near about 2 kms from bus stand. This temple is made by maharaja sarguja Raghunathsharan . This is called mahamaya temple in the name of goddess ambika and this place Ambikapur is also called in the name of goddess ambika. This temple is very old and it is the time of kalchuri kal .This was built in between 1879 to 1917 in Nagar shaili .It’s shape is just like a mandap pattern. When we visit this holy temple we feel very internal peace in mind.

It's open from morning 5 am to evening 8 pm.

Beautiful Temple of Mahamaya in Ambikapur. You feel good and peaceful mind after visiting here. There is also small hall for Puja kirtan, and other ritulal programs live marrige, birthday Celebration etc.

While driving from Odisha towards Varanasi, planned to take a lunch break. And fortunately on Google map saw this divine place. The moment me and my wife stepped inside this mandir we could feel the energy and calmness inside us. We spend an hour, ate our lunch, worshipped the goddesses and enjoyed the spiritual ambience

This is the temple where greatest divine mother Maa Mahamaya resides and Ambikapur is blessed by her , she is the one who has blessed this city with all sorts of prosperity and happiness. It is a spiritual, peaceful and loved temple🌺❤🎉🏵🌸

The best time to visit is unoccasional and before 12 pm. Occasions bring in huge crowd while if you wish to pray to your heart's content I will advise you to go on any uneventful day. The prasad is cheap and Garlands are amazing. Only thing to remember is that the pat closes around 12 pm noon and if you go after that you will have to pray outside closed doors.

Really good place for family and friends for worship and peace.
Good view and better surrounding with proper sanitation and cleanines.
Basic things like nariyal, chunri, and other prashad are available there at good fair.

This is one of the shaktipeeth, located in the city. Ambikapur is a district headquarter and a well developed city, where a tourist can avail the facilities of what he needs.
Temple is wide spread and we'll maintained. There are two deities. In black statue maa vindhyavasini and in orange statue maa mahamaya.
Aarati timing is same in morning and evening 7 o'clock.

Goddess Mahamaya, an incarnation of Goddess Durga, is the ruling deity. It is said that the torso of Mahamaya Devi is located in the Mahamaya temple of Ambikapur. His head is kept in Ratanpur Mahamaya temple in Bilaspur district. This temple was built by Mahamaya Raghunath Sharan Singh Dev.

It is an important religious center for the residents of Surguja. The mother fulfills everyone's wishes and prays with a sincere heart, but fills the bag with happiness. The residents of Ambikapur begin every task by bowing their heads at the feet of the mother, whoever she may be.

Mahamaya Temple located in Ambikapur, Ambikapur derives its name from the name of this temple.It is an ancient temple of Kalachuri era which is highly revered. It is said that the torso of Mahamaya Devi is located in the Mahamaya temple of Ambikapur. This temple was built by Mahamaya Raghunath Sharan Singh Dev. Thousands of devotees visit this temple during Chaitra and Navratras to offer prayers. Maharaja Raghunath Sharan Singh Deo built this Mahamaya temple in the Nagara style between 1889 and 1917. The Mahamaya devi is seated in a square room in the middle of the temple, which is built on a high platform with stairs around it. Along with this, a black idol of Mother Vindhyavasini has also been installed. The Yagya shala is surrounded by a pillared mandapa which is in front of it. Very calm Place.

Campus is clean. For worship best place in Ambikapur. On Tuesday little crowd is there.
