Fair price shop

This price shop comes under the public distribution system (PDS) which is an Indian food security system that was established by the Government of India under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution to distribute food and non-food items to India's poor at subsidised rates. Through these fair price shop Major commodities distributed include staple food grains, such as wheat, rice, sugar and essential fuels like kerosene, through a network of fair price shops (also known as ration shops) established in several states across the country. Food Corporation of India, a government-owned corporation, procures and maintains the PDS. This fair price shop is for Village Chabot and nearby villages. The service here has improved considerably through these years. Large no. Of population is covered under this shop and so many schemes are also provided through this shop . Timings are fixed over here but flexibility is also provided sometimes.
