Shree Dhabaleswar Temple

This is such a beautiful Shiva temple located on the hill top from where you can get a glimpse of bhuvaneshwar city ..the air strip of bhuvaneshwar airport is also visible from this location where you can see the takeoff off many airplanes

Holy temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. A very beautiful place to visit with family. Also Buddha temple is situated there.

I had been there after so many years on Shivratri of 2023. The environment is serene and gorgeous, you get a breathtaking view of the entire city from the top. There are a lot of shops nearby, which offer snacks, sugarcane juice etc. No doubt it has transformed into a tourist spot but when I was a kid, it wasn't so developed and much more peaceful, quiet.
The weather that day was pleasant but there was a huge crowd in the temple. However, we patiently waited in the queue to get Mahadev's divine darshan and we could witness Him all adorned with flowers, fruits, milk. It's just so beautiful how I forget my phone, or anything material when I look at my God. Nothing really matters, but Him and Me in that blissful moment. It's like His positivity is absorbing all of my evil, my negativity, vices, and putting my Restlessness to ease.

I am One with Him and only He knows my life's truths. I can't describe this entirely, but you get it right? I have often enjoyed this feeling, there's so much truth in how deeply I feel. Lately, I am trying to realise who I really am, the person I'm slowly unfolding to be.
As a 25 year old, am leaning more towards my Ultimate Friend, my God, in times of distress. When youth my age are clubbing, partying, abusing, boozing, making relationships mere games, I'm visiting more and more temples, to find my favourite spot to enjoy pure solitude. Quiet moments with my God, quiet moments to discover my true self.

Please visit this temple once. I was a child when Papa used to take us there on Shivratri but it had suddenly stopped as I was no longer eager to go. However my parents visit this temple every Shivratri. My childhood memories were refreshed!

One of the Beautiful Shiva temple... we went here while going to puri.. This temple is located in inside (back side of Dhauli Shanti Stupa)
So going to Dhauli Shantistupa don't miss this temple... Just you have to few steps down...

We went early morning, we done good puja and beautiful dharisanam... The structure of the temple is very beautiful... Very neat and clean place well maintained.... So you can spend good time there....

The Temple will close near 6 pm.
No parking fees and no entry fees.... Stay safe and enjoy

Dhabaleswar Temple is dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. It is situated at a distance of 27 km from the city of Cuttack, in the exotic island of Lord Dhabaleshwar. It is one of the famous weekend tours from Cuttack. The temple, located in an island on River Mahanadi, is embellished with stone carvings that date back to the early 10th and 11th century. The serene ambiance, in which the temple is situated, inspires spiritual feeling among one and all.
The temple can be reached by bus via Chowdwar, Nuapatana, Mancheshwar. it can also be reached via Bidanasi through boating on river Mahanadi. Odisha's first ever foot hang bridge is connecting the exotic island with mancheswar which is the major way to reach the temple.
Being situated on an island, the temple can be reached by boats leaving from ferries in or near Cuttack. There is also a foot bridge which devotees or visitors can use on paying a nominal fee. People from the nearby villages have set up a number of shops leading to the bridge and the temple's entrance.

One of the best Shiv Temple in Bhubaneswar. The best part of this Temple is it is not very far from Dhauli Shanti Stupa. Just few steps and you reach dhauli. No parking fees and no entry fees required to enter this Temple. The structure of the temple is very beautiful. You can photography here because this Temple is on the top of dhauli hill so you can capture some beautiful pictures. The Temple will close near 6 pm. Don't come here after 6 pm because there is noone in the evening here. It is very risky if you came after 6 pm.
