Hindu temple dedicated to lord Murugan.
This place is also called kerala Palani.
A very calm and peaceful place.
Up to the top we can bring our vehicles but the suggestion is to park the vehicle at the bottom of the hill.
Because the first peak is very steep and a little bit difficult for the vehicle to climb especially for the 2 wheelers.

Suggested to visit early morning for the blissful experience. Enjoy the sunrise and the devotion in a calm & quiet place away from the crowd.

I am very happy to see the development of the temple within the past 20 years. The temple committee had worked very hard and they should get appreciation for their sincere approach. Earlier the temple was a small one, but now it has become a great one.

Lord Subramanya’s temple. After renovation work, it also known as Kerala Palani Chocherikunnu Kshethram. It is a hilltop temple located at Puthur Panchayath. The atmosphere is awesome here, especially at evening. The view of sunset from here is mind blowing. The atmosphere here is really awesome. Use the stairs for climbing up it is not so difficult, you will enjoy it as the view is very much appealing. The positive vibe at the time of pooja at 9am is really energetic and powerful . Two ways to reach the temple top, I suggest to take the steps way, the view from the top is breathtaking, you would not feel that with the other way around 😄.
Closing time is 7:30 PM and highly recommended time to visit the temple is 5:45-6:15 PM

Beautiful experience. We came for my sons mundan . As we are also from thrissur district..it took us very less time to reach here. Very less crowded place . Beautiful environment. Very scenic. As its on top of a hill . We can see the whole city from the top . Also very helpful people there . Neat and clean mundan sthan . Anyday better than going to palani because i cannot handle the crowd and rush in palani . Here its very calm . My son didn't even cry for the whole process .

We can drive the car or bike till the top. There is a separate road for that.
Even if we have that facility, climbing the hill through the steps is also nice and comfortable.

It's hard to believe this place existed all these years so near to where I come to stay with my aunt and in-laws
The temple is on top of a hill and offers a serene and beautiful experience to a nature lover.
The temple itself is quiet, peaceful and gives you a sense of calmness.
I enjoyed listening to the prayers and watching a group of kids perform in a nearby hall, singing and chanting as a group.
The place offers 2 entrances, one through the stairs and the other by a steep road for vehicles.
Definitely going back if I visit Thrissur again.

Chocherikunnu Sri Subrahmanya Swami temple is one of the famous Temple in Kerala which is known as Kerala Pazani Temple in South India. This temple situated in cultural capital of Kerala called Thrissur District. This Temple's pratishtha installation ceremony have been done by world famous Saint & Worshiper Sri. Chinmayananda Swami.

A beautiful Murugan temple on a hill top..very calm and easily accessible from main road. Small vehicle parking available at the top as well.

Known as Kerala Palani. Located beside amballoor. Great ambience and peaceful atmosphere. Not too crowded. If going for hair removal, make sure you reach there before 9 am. Food will also be served from 9 am.
