It is one of the oldest Muruka temples of Thrissur District. It is also known as Kerala Palani. Great temple with good staff and a spiritual atmosphere. Thaippooyam is the main festival of the temple. There are other prsthishtas of Navagarahas, sarppa, sastha, siva, Bhuvaneswari, Ganapati, and 42 Devatas.
