Mr. Abdulgafur Khatri and his family are humble, polite and willing to show their art. They answer all your questions with patience. They demonstrate the way rogan art is done as well. Must visit.

It is the only place where Rogan Art is still practised. You would get to see excellent and fabulous paintings done by Abdul Gaffar.

The khatris are the only family that practice Rogan art the preserve of men folk for generations .Great art work by hand .it's very impressive.

Nirona, located in the Kachchh is the only village in the world, where the traditional Rogan Painting is survived. This Togan word is Persian word which means the oil based painting.

Castor oil is the main source for this and the Khatri community is into this practice since centuries.

Mr. Sumar Khatri is the person whom you should.eet here and he will explain and show the live demo of their beautiful heritage.

To see and explore about their livelihood is an experience itself.

Very unique and rare art. At first sight you will assume it to be embroidery but it's not. Khatri family has kept this art alive and also training girls from nearby village. It's must visit place. If you like antique.

This art work cloths had become famous after PM Modi gave a gift to former US President Obama during his India visit. One can see the live demo of this from Nirona village, which is a littele deviation from the route to white rann of kutch Dordo. One can buy this from that village, the price is little high, but compared to the effort they are giving to crate such a painting, the cost is not much higher

It's very rare art in the world nirona is the only place in world where Rogan art is available it's such a mind-blowing art. I also belong to nirona so it's prod for me. Keep it up guys👍

They spend a fort night or more on some of their finest work. It is incredible the patience and talent they have in their community.

What a lovely, informative session! Made a chance visit on the recommendation of the driver of the car we had hired for the day, and couldn't be happier that we did. Jabbar, of the Gafur Khatri family that practises the art, gave us a demonstration to remember. The best part is they really want to show you the art form, and will not pressure you into buying anything (they have no shortage of important clientele!). Go ahead and please visit - you will not regret this slight detour to Nirona Village on your way to the (hyped) White Desert, I guarantee that :)

You gotta see it to believe it. The youngest member in the family showed us by actually doing the 400 year old traditional art on fabric. Very inspiring and captured the setting captures the essence of a typical Indian village.
