A beautiful Hoysala temple just 2km diversion from Hassan Arsikere main road.
There is another temple near by which lies in ruins as there is no deity. There is a lake adjacent to the temple and offers a memorable view in the evening.

Not an active temple. Just a peaceful ancient stone monument. Very good sculptures and old stone work. Main aspect of visiting here is experiencing calm and peace. Recommended to visit if you like old ancient architectures and stone carvings.

A good ancient temple of hoysala period ie 1110 AD.Good architectural idols carved out of soap stone.serene Ambience and environment.

A gem near Hassan!
Not visited by many since it's 5km off the highway and the last 2 km to the temple is over village roads.
But it's such a treat when you get there! Small, but great sculpture, and really serene.
The ASI has provided a couple of boards that give you a brief history.
There is no entry fee. I'm sure people wouldn't mind a fee. It would help fund a little 'information gallery', and that would be really great.

A small, compact and cute Hoysala Temple , with all the excellent Hoysala features , built in the 12th Century by a wealthy officer named Buchi . There are two sanctums, facing each other , which is unusual. Many narrative panels on the outer wall are sculpted in vertical bands to conserve space cleverly. The temple is situated close to the tank and it makes an excellent, picturesque location . Very well maintained , protected monument . The person in charge is courteous and helpful.
While this temple is so well taken care of, two other temples of same period and style , standing right opposite , are totally neglected and left to crumble . Very sad.

Such a beautiful structure.!!! But, a small complex. Not in a big expanse like other monuments in the vicinity...
Can't believe it sits right in the middle of a residential area. We were doubtful till we reached the spot whether the route was correct or not.

Bucesvara Temple, Koravangala

Bucesvara temple, also referred to as the Buceswara, Bucheshwara or Bhucheshvara temple, is a 12th-century Hindu temples in Koravangala village, Karnataka, India. The most sophisticated historical temple in the village, it is considered to be the flag-bearer of Hoysala architecture and was built by a wealthy patron named Buchi during the reign of king Ballala.

It is a twin temple with the two sanctums facing each other. The sanctum next to the larger mandapa opens to the east and is dedicated to Shiva, while the other near the two entrances is dedicated to Surya. Artworks of Shaivism, Vaishnavism, Shaktism and the Vedic deities are reverentially displayed, along with panels depicting scenes from the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, the Bhagavata Purana.

The temple is protected as a monument of national importance by the Archaeological Survey of India.

It is located in the village of Korvangla, about 12 kilometres (7 mi) northeast from Hassan city in Karnataka, India

It's really worth a visit to the temple. This is less known temple of hoysala style of architecture. There's a lot to learn from a rarely seen statues not seen anywhere in other such hoysala temples

This place is a temple made in 12th Century and ruined, all the faces of the idols were scraped intentionally. Nice place to visit, very peaceful place the people living around are friendly.

Place you must visit, if you are the lover of ancient stone arts. The sculptures here are perfect and they depict lot of stories about ancient Indian culture and beliefs.
