Well lit Beautiful temple's located at Kuttur, and Kalyani attached to the temple. Just situated 6km from Thrissur town. The main deity Neithalakkavu Amma is facing towards West and lord Shiva is faced to east direction. The temple festival is celebrated during the month of December. Neithalakkavu Amma is the authority to open thekke gopuram of vadakkunatha temple for the world famous Thrissur pooram. One can pray peacefuly with full spirituality. 🙏

Naithalakkavu is located 3.5 Kms from Punkunnam junction or 6 Km from Thissur swaraj round and is a beautiful shiva temple in town. The temple is located admist green fields, close to the Puzhakkal river. (on the flood plains). A drive though the long winding road to the temple is refreshing and the temple adds to the charm. Though renovation is in progress, one could spend quality time having darshan and meditating at the temple. It is a huge complex, with lord Shiva donning the main sanctum.

P.N - If you are taking an autorickshaw from the city, it would be wise to retain the vehicle for the return trip since it is difficult to get a vehicle upon return.

Nice temple in a calm village. If you travel through MLA road to this temple in the evening, you can enjoy the excellent sunset view on the way.

Naithalakkavu temple is situated, 6 km north of Thrissur city in a village called Kuttur. It is under Cochin Devaswom Board. The temple has been considered to have connections with Cochin Royal family, in the days of their reign the Amma of Naithalakkavu had a special place in Shakthan Thampuran’s Palace then. The Amma is considered to be the deity of the village Kuttur, which has been surrounded by Siva Temples. The Naithalakkavu Amma has the sole authority to open the Thekke Gopuram (South Gopuram) of Vadakkunatha temple for the Thrissur Pooram.

The sanctum sanctorum of Shiva in this temple is one of the largest rounded sanctorum in Kerala. Besides Siva and Naithalakkavu Amma, Sri Durga, Shastra, Ganapathi, Anthimahakalan, Rashasu & Dampathu Rashasu is been present as Upadevas. A Rashasu named Kelumman is installed under Alstonius (Pala) tree outside the walls of the temple. The Naithalakkavu Amma is faced towards west, while Siva is faced to east direction. It is an important temple among Vadakkunthan’s Rishabhagiri temples.
