The Thiruvambady Krishna Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is situated in the heart of Thrissur city, near the famous Vadakkunnathan Temple. It is one of the significant temples in the Thrissur Pooram festival, held annually.

The temple features traditional Kerala-style architecture, characterized by its sloping roofs, wooden carvings, and intricate sculptures.

Men cannot wear shirts and vests when visiting the sanctum sanctorum. Parking space is available opposite to the temple.

Thiruvambady sree Krishna temple is one of the famous temple in Trichur. Deities of the temple is lord Krishna and giving darsanam in the form of child. In the morning 5 am to 11am and in the evening 5 PM to 8 PM. Thulabaram, choroonu for babies and other pooja and offerings can be done by paying in the temple counter.

This temple was home to an elephant named, Thiruvambady Sivasundar who died in 2018. Very easy to reach from Railway Station and bus stand. Nearest railway station is Poonkunnam , 200 meters away. Nearest Airport is Kochi, 40 kilometres.

Such a beautiful Temple with wonderful vibrations. Lord Krishna and Bhagawathi look so beautiful here. The noon Prasad (food) served free of cost to all the devotees is amazing. A wonderful Temple to visit.

Would love to see more discourses and programs and hope it becomes free from government control and regains it status as a centre for learning and education in spiritual studies.

Thirumbady Temple is a Hindu Temple with Lord Krishna as it's main God . The other idols of God in this temple are Bhagavathy , Lord Ganesha , Lord Ayyappa , and Lord Shiva . There is another small temple close to Thiruvambady temple , where there is Lord Ganesha , Lord Hanuman , etc . One can go to This temple through Thiruvambady itself . There's a small way to go there . Outside the temple there's a chappal stand where you can keep your footwear for free while going inside the temple as no one is allowed to wear chappals or shoes inside . The atmosphere inside and outside the temple is completely different . Outside , there are a lot of cars , honking , pollution, etc. It's a complete city-like atmosphere . But inside the temple , we get a positive vibe, positive energy , peace , and we become calm .
