Poonkunnam Shiva temple is one of the oldest temples in Kerala.

Such calmness amidst the city buzz. A small well maintained garden (കൃഷ്ണൻ്റെ പൂങ്കാവനം) & varieties of large trees, stone paved paths add much to the divine atmosphere.

This temple is located in the heart of Poonkunnam. There's a large ground in front of this temple.

It's a lord Siva Temple besides the ponkunnam junction, it's hardly hundred meter walkable distance from the junction . It's a beautifully crafted temple . It's in the center of a junction also you can feel calm and second in here . There is an large ground in front of this temple

One of the 108 Shiva temples mentioned in the Shivalaya Stothram. The dieties are Lord Shiva, Goddess Parvathy, Lord Vigneshwara, Ayyappa and Sree Narayana and the Naga/ snake Gods. Pradhosha pooja and Ayilya pooja are the important rituals attended by many devotees every month. An interesting belief is that if a garland made of lemon is offered to Lord Vigneshwara on a persons birth star for 7 months, that persons marriage will be fixed, within that period.
