Look this place out,it's tucked away in a corner and on the first floor of the building.
The food is great the coffee is divine!
The cause behind the trust that runs Mark's is honorable. So not only do you get good, clean fresh food and excellent coffee you can do your bit to help others in this fabulous intriguing often frustrating but ultimately rewarding city.
Do yourself a huge favour and patronize Mark's cafe-diner you won't find better.
In so many reviews I read that the prices are high.
In comparison to what?
To any western tourist the prices are perfectly acceptable and in case one doesn't get it, this place returns all profits to the community!
I speak only as a western tourist and mean no offense to my Indian brothers and sisters.

They have vegan stuff! Soy milk and a vegan breakfast with scrambled tofu. Quite surprising in a butter, yogurt, lassi and egg heavy quisine! Also they took special offers (just ice cream instead of a dish with it) and prices are absolutely reasonable. A nice quiet getaway.

A quaint and serene cafe to have some delicious breakfast at when at the Ghats of Varanasi. It's a 100% non-profit restaurant too, so you end up contributing to a noble cause. A must visit place!

Coffe is good, attention is really good, food is delicious.
Is a nice place to chill (you cannto come in a rush), nice music and ambiance. Also the earnings go to social projects.

The staff is adorable. The portion sizes generous. The place is clean as is the toilet, which is a pleasant surprise in a bustling city like Varanasi. They also have various scarves and other touristy things on display for sale.

All in all a lovely place with a nice ambience.

The best Americano coffee I had in India so far. Friendly staff, great music, good food and all reasonably priced.

Only place I could find in varanasi serving good vegan coffee with soy milk. Very well made coffee and the veggie burger was great too, not too expensive

The atmosphere is very comfortable and soothing. Food is delicious plus the behaviour of staffs is extremely co-operative and helpful.

What a restaurant! I’ve been here for breakfast everyday that I’ve been in Varanasi! This place is the best! Food presentation on point and most importantly delicious! They also are a non-profit and do a lot for the community. Highly recommend.

This is probably the best place for coffee around Assi Ghat.. Ambience and staff's behaviour is very nice.. One must try Indian Spices Coffee here.. Overall it's a 9/10

Mark's Cafe is located in Assi and has beautiful interior decorations. Very ideal place to hangout if you are in Varanasi and especially near Assi ghat.

I really enjoyed coming here for a tea or breakfast. Is a lovely quite place with a nice terrace overlooking the street.

Great place to take a breath from loud indian streets. You can find there fantastc owner who will tell you about the reasons for this cafe and how amazingly he contributes to other people's life. Don't wirry about a little more expensive prices as they are still reasonable and worth this huge portions of high quality tasty food. French press was good too. Big kisses for the huge doggo of the owner!

Super service, friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious and they have the best coffee.

The ambience this place provides is on another level.You can chill relax smoke and do whatever you want with your friends.The music playlist the place has its own feel.The coffee here is good,Snacks are a bit expensive but a go-to place in Varanasi for sure
