Vaishno Devi Mandir

It is located in Jammu territory near Katara

It was one of the most beautiful journey of my life.The Vaishnodevi Temple is around 17 Km upwards from the lower belt of mountain and also Bheruji temple near by it.

It was a huge cold around -2 to -4
Too much rush and even though high amount of enthusiasm on the face of visitors.

Unique-in every season either summer winter Monsoon uou never feel loneliness due to huge rush and crowds

Awesome experience avoid reaching there by 6pm as arti starts and doors get closed and reopnes at 8pm. You have to wait 2-3 hourse for darshan.

It was really a nice experience, this place has a spiritual vibe, enjoyed the whole yatra, its bit exhausting at the end, but the sheer joy you will get after completing the yatra, is beyond anything else, although this Vasno devi is quite commercialized you will find so many shops and vendors, its helpful but kills the feels of doing holy yatra, anyways it is more of subjective to person to person. One must visit this holy Mandir at least once in their life time

Holy experience. My advice would be to reach katra on Thursday evening, then explore katra city for the night and eat and rest well, then get up Friday morning and take your RFID pass from counter near katra main Market and directly start your yatra, most probably you will reach vaishno mata temple before Friday night and be fortunate enough to darshan mata on her day, i.e., friday, further after darshan proceed towards bhairavnath temple and you will reach there on 1-2am Saturday (which is bhairav baba's day), take his darshan and then proceed downwards after eating on the way and resting, max. You will reach katra on Saturday morning and watch the sunrise too. The perfect itinerary.
For elders you can book helicopter in 2-3 months advance.
Cable car is also an option but it doesn't take all the way up and tickets should have been booked in advance.
If you reach there and can't climb or feel sick,tired,etc. One can always book a pony.
Have a successful yatra, Jai Mata Di.

All arrangements are up to the mark. Just don't forget the issue RFID card. Many people faces problem to issue RFID card. The Bhavan is well maintain by the authority. You will find all things, food, water, medicine, staying facility, locker everything you need is available at very reasonable price.

Very hard to reach, have patience and time to climb or to downward. Be cautious

My visit to Vaishno Devi was a truly remarkable experience. While I couldn't visit Ardhkuwari due to the long queue, reaching the awe-inspiring Bhairo Baba Mandir at the mountain's summit made up for it.
The challenging uphill trek offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The journey was arduous but rewarding, especially when witnessing the magnificent sunrise from the peak. The serene ambiance and the panoramic vistas created an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. It was very crowdy because I visited during Summer Vacation and It was a weekend too. Internet will not work at some place at height and even you can face problem while calling someone. Prepaid SIM Cards of other states do not work in Jammu & Kashmir. So you need to have a postpaid SIM there.
I encountered several shops offering a variety of religious souvenirs, local handicrafts, and refreshments. These shops provided a convenient opportunity to take home cherished mementos and satisfy my cravings during the journey.
There were shops where you can have massage through machine. But I would not recommend you to take massage as in my opinion it is just a temporary relief. Important tip is that you should not run fast while descending back because it can affect your stomach. Some of my friends faced such problems on the next day after arrival.
Overall, It was a very nice experience!
