Vembanad Lake Villas

Right on the expansive Vembanad lake, this serene beautiful homestay is one of the most authentic Kerala life experiences one can have. It's hosted by 2 beautiful souls, Thomas and Reshmi, and their wonderful staff.

Enjoyed a truly memorable stay here. The property facing the Vembanad Lake is very beautiful, the home cooked food is so delicious and our hosts were so friendly, they felt almost like family. We also had great fun in the pedal boat rides inside the property. This place reminded me a lot of Taj Goa, it is that beautiful, but so much more affordable...! Truly great value for money. Highly recommended.

Our second visit to Gods Own Country and what a memorable time we have spent in this property. The property is located on the banks of Vembanad Lake and the atmosphere is quite and tranquil.
It’s also located in Bortle 2 to 3 sky free of lot of light pollution, and is perfect place for star gazing and amateur astronomers.
We also enjoyed some real authentic Kerala dishes.
Special Thanks to Owner of this property and his family for such a hospitality, they were so welcoming I am definitely coming again.

Thomas and Arun are very nice and hospitable people ..they went out of their way to make it a memorable new year eve for us ..with campfire and music system. Recommended if you are a group of 12-18 people including kids and looking for serene environment and homely food. They provided excellent vegetarian food to is thruout the stay. The canal boating suggested by him nearby was very pleasing experience. Wish them all success.

We were a family group of 10 people. Our stay was amazing. Thomas , arun and family are great hosts and will make you feel at ease. The home cooked food is cherry on the cake.

Vembanad Lake is a very famous lake and the longest lake in Kerala, India. Here mostly you will able to see the Houseboats. From here you can have the best experience of staying in a Houseboat on an hour's basis or nightly basis. Which will cost depending on the sessions and standards. Apart from this also you can have the experience of going in the govt approved passengers boats. Which costs approx Rs. 70/- to Rs. 100/- per person for the maximum places. Also, you can experience fishing, speed boat, and many more activities. Also here you can try the fresh "TADI" in the early morning, which is good for the stomach.

This place is in the middle of nowhere! Thanks God, Google Maps knew exactly where it was.. because even along the way, we were not sure if it really existed! It's a home stay inside a small village. The owner is the 4th generation owner of this piece of land, and he turned it into a beautiful place to stay about 11 years back. A beautiful entrance to his house and parking area. There are small cottages across the establishment, some of the lagoon side ones can be quite private. He's dug out small canals and filled it with the water from the Vembanad Lake, where you can do paddle boating and canoeing for free. The whole place is full of trees and looks beautiful. The food was home cooked and wonderful. We loved the Kerala style preparation that we were served here. The hosts were very nice. This is definitely one of my 2-3 favourite places to go back to again!

While browsing the sites for hotels in Allepey and Kumarakom, I chanced upon this property. It is located in Viakom which is a small town and away from the commercialized Allepey and Kumarakom. I booked 2 villas, one lake facing for our parents and one canalsidefor hubby and me
. This was my first homestay so I was a bit apprehensive in the beginning. But all my apprehensions vanished once we reached there. The property is spread across 6 Acres of land adjacent to the lake. The canals run through the place. It is extremely beautiful. They have small overbridges that add to the beauty. They wonderful wooden room are tastefully done with cane furniture and they have a nice sit out area. Hot water is available through gas steamers. The lawn itself is lush green with farm animals like ducks, hens, goats, cats and dogs but they are well managed. Mosquitoes are a bit of nuisance but I had carried Odomos so didn't have to worry much. The home-cooked food is the best thing here. The hosts Mr Thomas and Rashmi are extremely hospitable and friendly and do are their children. We felt so at home and were very happy that we came here. The next day we went for a country boat ride and that was yet another wonderful experience. This was arranged by Mr Thomas. Will write about it in a separate review. Overall great place to stay and will surely recommend it for those who like offbeat places.

This is one of the best resort that I've been. The resort is wholly managed by a family. It looks more like a home-stay rather than a commercial place. The location is very beautiful.

The food is homely and you get to eat of your choice, there is no specific food menu. It is very delicious and you will taste a real Kerala food.

It is little away from Kumarakom tourist spots. You need to travel 10 miles to reach this place. Cabs/autos are becoming really very expensive in Kerala. Thanks to Mr. Thomas and his family.

Lake villas is run by the owner of property, who ensures that your holidays are full joy and amusement. The place offered excellent hospitality and beautiful backwater side cottages along with delicious traditional Malayali meals. This place is highly recommend for larger group of friends and families.

The place is like a paradise. The family is really lovely. They are always helping, they booked our trips around the state, and our kayaking. The chauffeur is really kind. The meals are delicious. We enjoyed a lot.

Great stay and accommodation. Located somewhat deep inside from main road. Nearest railway stations are Piravam Road and Vaikom Road. Located right next to Lake Vembanad.
About 6 individual AC double rooms, with bath attached. They also provide clean towels and toiletries.
Food is very tasty and homely, prepared at the home of the owner, and the family helps in preparation.
They provide AC car transport on request.

Such a great experience so happy booked this place such an amazing place. The owners of the place were very cooperative and friendly and helps us in many affairs. Food was excellent and homely surely suggest you to stay here if you come with your family. Even the view from the villa is extraodinary and beautiful you will surely enjoy the place..

Best part of our trip. Thomas and reshmi's hospitality is worth mentioning. Will suggest it for a relaxing stay and homemade kerala food. Avoid if you have plans to go site seeing from here as the location is remote.

One of best outdoor stay in my life. Food was amazing and hospitality is also good. All with reasonable price no crowd we had a peaceful and pleasant stay over here
